I always wondered why back then the warriors stuck with horses and not some other big animal that could just flip on you mid fight. horses don’t really do that. they stay with you, they read the situation, they don’t panic and dump you for no reason.
watching them move around humans like this makes it obvious they’re actually thinking. small adjustments, watching you, figuring out what you want without you spelling it out. I paused it twice because one of them clearly understood the person was about to do something and just waited.
my brain kept going “yeah that’s why.” random but I almost went and looked up old war horse stuff after this. anyway I’m still watching the same part over and over.
For the better part of a decade now.
Not sure that fits the definition of “becoming”?

Already knew this would be a new convert or catechumen. Ridiculous.
Can’t wait til this most crucial ever vote is over so we can be gaslighted into thinking the next election is the most crucial ever again.

"The Church that sustains me is the Church of Saint John Paul II and the Assisi Interfaith Declaration...the Church of Pope Francis, with the Abu Dhabi Declaration... [We] have better things to do than try to convert one another."
Terrific response by Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco to @BishopBarron disgraceful attack on his integrity. Vesco speaks from the Church, Barron for himself.
Well see it’s banned because there’s a scheduling conflict is all. Didn’t you know.

Except Bp Barron told Ben Shapiro that Our Lord is only the “privileged way”.
In practice, Bp Barron believes the same as the Cardinal he’s criticizing.
He should go get that honest job, but it would require some soul searching and honesty on his part.
Well, another Cardinal has come out with a, shall we say, puzzling take on evangelization.
A few years ago, Cardinal Américo Aguiar, at the time auxiliary bishop of Lisbon, said that he and the other organizers of World Youth Day in his hometown had no interest in converting anyone to Christ.
Now Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algeria has opined that “the Church is not there to convert” and “Christians should approach other religions through fraternity rather than seeking conversions.”
Excuse me, but…what?
Last time I checked, the Founder said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Sure sounds like conversion to me.
When St. Paul came to Corinth or Athens or Thessalonica, his purpose was not to listen or to form a discussion group but rather to declare an unnerving message: the euangelion (glad tidings) that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead.
So impassioned is he for this work that he says, “I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:22); and “If I proclaim the gospel, this gives me no ground for boasting, for an obligation is laid on me, and woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:16)!
Moreover, the entire thrust of the Second Vatican Council was toward bringing the Light of Christ to the peoples of the world (Lumen Gentium). And this missionary élan has given rise in the last few decades to the idea of a “new evangelization,” which is to say, a fresh declaration of the Lordship of Christ.
Quite obviously, no one thinks that this work of evangelization should be done in a brow-beating, overbearing, or disrespectful manner (proselytization), but for God’s sake, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
If I really thought that the Church does not exist to bring people to Christ, then I would resign and get an honest job.
Let me guess. Gays. Jews. Women.

Oh so the Post Conciliar church is just “nuanced” not apostate. Phew thanks for clarifying us with your opinion.

But...other religions ARE false
LATEST: Cardinal Vesco says the Catholic Church is “not there to convert”
The Archbishop of Algiers said: “We are the Church of this people. Not a proselytising Church, not a Church that is there to convert, but a Church that aspires to be one of the components of this people.”
He called proselytism “poison” because it treats another person’s religion as false, and argued Christians should choose fraternity over seeing themselves as a “besieged fortress.”
