Remembering the 9 soldiers, a soldier's wife and their 2 young children, killed on 4th February, 1974, in the horrific M62 coach bombing by the cowardly Provisional IRA Lest we Forget these innocent people and the 38 injured ❤ 🇬🇧

An interesting reply to a Charlie Brooks article in the Telegraph discussing how to save horse racing.

📢 ASK YOUR MP: How many birds does the RSPB have? Once again, @Natures_Voice is rallying supporters to demand more regulation of grouse moors - but their latest campaign (see letter shown in images) is long on accusations and short on facts. 1. It has not published its reserve bird counts for 13 years. 2. Yet it has received nearly £2 billion in income in that time. 3. It receives £16 million in public funding every year. 4. It’s CEO takes home £250,000 annually. 5. And yet the RSPB refuse to tell the public how many birds they’ve got. So here’s a simple question for your MP to ask @SteveReedMP: 👉 How many birds does the RSPB have? If their records are so robust, why the secrecy? By contrast, managed grouse moors are delivering: ✅ Environmental & Biodiversity Gains ✅ Economic & Rural Jobs ✅ Land Management & Climate Resilience ✅ Social, Health & Cultural Value Even the RSPB’s own scientists admit hen harriers are up 1,150% - yet their silence is telling. Because solved problems don’t raise funds. Let’s have real conservation standards: if you take public money, publish your bird numbers. Grouse moors would welcome an independent, DEFRA-funded study of upland bird life. We have the birds. The RSPB has the PR.

Interesting to see that Kelso have chosen to run the 3 most valuable races (all chases) at the rear of the card on Sunday, have they booked an overcast day?
