This is welcome change to a system that has been in desperate need of reform for a long time. A step in the right direction (but not the whole leap, yet) gov.uk/government/news/bette…

Extremely important points raised below. Money alone will not address these problems. Caring for staff = caring for patients.
Whilst I welcome investment in the #NHS, I want to get a few things straight. Here are 3 things you need to know if you care about our health service: 👇🧵 #Budget2024

Why do we have Occupational Therapists working on inpatient mental health wards? Because people with severe mental illness find even the most basic self-care and daily activities a huge challenge. I’d rather this money was spent on helping patients recover, not trying to shoehorn them into jobs they are unable to do.
Mental health patients to get job coach visits, says minister… *This is mostly bollocks & a waste of time & money✔️ **Tell/show me u have never set foot on an Acute MH ward or PICU… without telling me… ***Work & income & a decent place to live > bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c98y…

New illustration: There are so many benefits to including people with lived experience in improvement work We need to put the effort, time and support into making it a reality for all projects – not just some projects on the outskirts of healthcare soniasparkles.com/involving-…

There is no offer of RNLD training for the whole South East of England this year. This is a workforce crisis for the NHS and for equity in access to health and care @wesstreeting
Darzi report highlights serious disparities in life expectancy for people with learning disabilities. No.s of LD Nurses who reduce these inequalities has declined by a stagering 44.1 %. We urgently need a RNLD career campaign and protected routes into the profession @MoncktonR
