Doctors, entrepreneurs, anyone who must invest heavily and accept a lower income/net worth early in their career, who then depend on making a high income or monetizing later in life to make up for a decade or two of sacrifice. The 2017 and 2024 federal budgets punish this.
Who needs doctors, right? They are all tax cheats not paying their fair share.

Toto Wolff is going to need yet another pair of headphones after hearing the news #LewisHamilton is going to #Ferrari

Not comparing these guys to Olympia & York, but is this the "Canary Wharf" in the coal mine for Canadian (and global) real estate?
Huge Toronto Development Project THE ONE Goes Broke $1.6B in debt but here's the funny thing: it was EXPECTED I have been hearing this thing was doomed almost from Day One Will many more Development Projects fail? Yeah, some more, not as big and not big numbers at all 2/

There is no defending the liberal track record, or their epic hipocracy, but you know what @JohnPasalis, this may actually be them doing what they can to help. Passing blame in politics means everyone else has to respond and take some kind of action. The mud wrestling may help.

With just a few words... “Housing isn’t a primary federal responsibility” Our PM is shifting the focus of this housing crisis From one that the Feds had some responsibility over To a crisis that, according to them, doesn't have a lot to do with them Interesting times /

It was a beautiful day in Toronto for our annual Mother's Day tradition, the #SL10K. That smile on Serena's face is exactly what #CampfireCircle does for kids with cancer. Nearly 5 years after we gave her the last chemo dose, it continues to make a positive difference in her life

This was a real moment for me, standing where @LewisHamilton usually starts the #abudahbi GP. Hopefully @MercedesAMGF1 can be back on the front row this year...

Funding contentment per @shapingwealth by @brianportnoy is easier with @MarriottBonvoy, loyalty points are the second largest currency in the world next to the USD. Should we use tools like the @AwardWallet API to factor this underappreciated resource into client financial plans?

Wow, that's hot.
Friday I captured around 200k images of our sun. I asked my friend @TheVastReaches for help working all the data so we could create an incredibly detailed image of our star, and we're nearly done. Take a look at this close crop of the final 140 MP pic we'll be sharing tomorrow:

This would be funny if it wasn't true. #inflation

The numbers don't make sense for buyers at these levels. Rates less likely to go much higher should not be conflated with the notion that prices cannot go lower if rates don't keep increasing. It takes well over a year for the impact of recent rate hikes to affect the market /1

That being said, I am curious to hear what other agents and buyers/sellers on the ground are seeing and experiencing firsthand Do you agree with my view of the market or are you seeing different trends on the ground in your area? /

At some point, more supply will come. I can tell you anecdotally I know a number of people who own multiple investment properties who cannot afford to carry anymore. They are waiting for their tenant leases to end and they are listing 💯 and need to sell. /3

It will easily take into 2024 or 2025 to see a proper reset of thr housing market. We are in the "denial' phase right now while sellers wait for better conditions, but fear has not set in. Hope and optimism are resilient and take time to fade. /2

Royal LePage forecasting the aggregate price of a home in Canada will drop by 1% by the fourth quarter of 2023. Expects prices to flatten in the second quarter, then modestly increase in the second half of the year, ending 2023 on an upward trajectory. tinyurl.com/bdb55e5r
Could not agree with @JohnPasalis more. I'm a capitalist too. I know RE has worked for masses of people, but the stock market has been even better and investing in companies helps create products/service and employment and doesn't directly inflate the cost of shelter for families
Replying to @JohnPasalis
And if I was a ruthless capitalist, I would be keeping my mouth shut about a system that has helped my balance sheet and income statement over the years But I never was a ruthless capitalist and since getting into this business my views have shifted to the left because... 3/

Good luck today Stephen!
Holy crap! 🤯 One of Toronto’s most iconic graffiti artists did what to promote my mayoral campaign?! @uber5000 is one of the brilliant artists behind Graffiti Alley & helped define the “cool” look of TO. Thanks doesn’t begin to describe how I feel. 😻 #LetsFixIt #topoli
I think the problem is probably not insignificant. How else do buyers compete with so much foreign laundered money? With "fake" income/extreme leverage because real honest after tax money hasn't had a chance of getting into the Toronto market for years. cbc.ca/news/business/marketp…
