this is entirely correct, but the difference between democratic centralism and autocracy has nothing to do with why the Chinese are upset. They are upset because of ethno-nationalism; Mao is a revered figure because they believe he played the key role in reversing a century of decline, which hinges on the very myth that you're pointing out: the Chinese generally *do* believe that Mao was an autocrat, but a benevolent one. The reasons for them believing in his benevolence are, in turn, mostly due to historical lies and omissions, and it is fine to ridicule these lies. For example, the CCP massively exaggerates its contributions in the Chinese front against Japan. The CCP is fourth in contributions on the Chinese front (after the KMT, the US, and the USSR which was initially the main backer of the KMT) but through decades of propaganda it is now the predominant belief in China that the CCP played the primary role in saving China from Japan, and that Mao was the military genius that saved China. That is why the Chinese are upset about attacks on Mao, not the technicalities about organizational structure you mention.

there are 20 posts in that thread and only 2 of them make a legible statistical point, and they're both false. I would have to block you even if those 2 points aren't false, btw, because to even think that this massive pile of equivocating crap is worth reading is just completely hilarious. please stop LARPing and fuck off.

yeah sorry this response is bullshit. the chart literally tells you its age- and sex-standardized, and she tries to say the disparity is because Afghans are disproportionately young males. that is already controlled for. blocked for lies. and in your case, gullibility.

(1) would you be happy to let your daughter live next to a neighbor with 7x the rape rate of an average Brit? (2) if you wouldn't, why would you devote your public writing into trying to convince other Brits that they should let their daughters live next to such neighbors? (3) would anyone be at fault to think that your double standard is because you're an upper/middle class Brit who cares not about the safety of lower-class Brits who have to live alongside dangerous migrants?

"vote Lula to save the rainforest" says white retard who can't make it clearer that he views the lives of 214 million Brasilians as irrelevant compared to the precious jungles that white tourists want to go trekking in. thank God Lula doesn't actually believe this. that's why Brazil has 1.5% growth rather than -0.5%.

this bullshit about the Amazon has to be the most mindraped Westoid nonsense I've seen this cycle, on par with rightoid claims of fraud. Lula literally got kickbacks from Petrobras and supports Petrobras's proposed new drilling in the Amazon. (this is a good thing btw)

markets are falling because they didn't expect Brazilians to re-elect a retarded communist presiding over 1.5% per capita growth, not because the election was fraudulent

obviously we can't tell because the Economist has anonymous writers, but I suspect this graph was made by a Pakistani. Afghanistan and Pakistan should be in the same cultural grouping. if it's meant to be geographic rather than cultural, then MENA isn't a valid grouping.

Westoids who sing the virtues of China's education system should note that their teenagers undergo multiple years of psychological torture like what you see in the video below. (the exception being the ultra-rich kids who go to international schools) The teens in the video are, in fact, the more fortunate teens in their school. Their parents have to go the extra length to do this for them. Most don't. You should be nicer to the angry, bitter Chinese people you see on the Internet, because they were likely traumatized by a childhood like this.

Gruber later admitted it was never meant to lower costs. Increasing premiums for young people so that high-risk individuals could be covered was part of the design. manhattan.institute/article/… I don't even fault Gruber for this, he's a partisan and partisans lie. The outrageous part is that all of mainstream media and "centrist punditry" failed to do due diligence and presented his lies as indisputable fact. meanwhile PwC was basically spot on with its estimates.
