As #BlackHistoryMonth draws to an end, a reminder of our recent blog post, looking for railway workers of colour in our project's work. So far, so absent - but why so? And what can we do to change that? Your thoughts always welcome! @bhmUK railwayaccidents.port.ac.uk/…

Muide focuses on Estonia, where the road corvée, originating in the feudal economic system, persisted until 1959. By looking at maintenance we see how widespread the corvée was in 20th-century Europe.

Historians of transport & mobility, unite! We have much to offer here... @JTransportHist #TransportHistory #MobilityHistory 👇
I'm genuinely puzzled by the emergence of 'the motorist' as a political identity, as if people who drive cars have distinct set of priorities and values.

Curator of Transport & Mobility - interesting job opportunity here at @sciencemuseum! Good to see they've put 'mobility' in the title - important shift reflecting (we'd argue) changes in academic history in the last c.25 years. @JTransportHist 👇 ce0111li.webitrent.com/ce011…

Longboats were a crucial part of history since their day of creation in the 15th century. Vikings used them for many years to signify wealth and power. Below are some articles useful to a broader grasp of the more modern day life living on a longboat and their prominence. #JTH
