Your variation can and should come from manipulating reps, sets, loads, and speeds, rather than shuffling movements around just to avoid boredom. Stay the course and keep them fresh as long as possible before you rotate exercises.
Novel exercise will lead to more soreness typically for a few weeks until the pain receptors become accustomed to it.
This should be a major consideration for programming for Athletes who will see a steep reduction in performance due to soreness.
Keep exercises steady in training for weeks and months.

I am excited to announce that I will be taking on the role of Strength and Conditioning Coach at Pewaukee High School. Thanks to @GiffUsStrength and @Pewaukee_AD for making this happen. I look forward to working with the coaches and student-athletes at PHS. Go Pirates!
I’ve often thought this. Flashy rotational work like that shown in the video doesn’t seem to move the needle like a barbell, sprinting, jumping, and playing. Plus, the guy in the video spends most of his time slowing the kettlebell down. Well-said.
Traditional barbell training is the best method for developing rotational power because power is a derivative of strength, regardless of the plane of motion
I went down the rotational training rabbit hole to the fullest extent possible from 2017-2023
You can’t create more power without putting more force into the ground no matter what the activity is that you’re doing
Punching, throwing, swinging clubs or rackets, surfing, skiing, sprinting
Getting stronger on the traditional barbell lifts combined with Sprinting and getting faster is the most reliable way to increase rotational power
Rotational Medicine Ball Throws, Cable Lifts/Chops, and kettlebells are okay to keep the obliques and adductors conditioned for explosive contractions if someone is unable to do sprints or their sport for whatever reason
But I’d rather someone sprint and do more of their sport instead if they are able

Athletes, there’s NO “Football Specific” Strength or Speed Training…
This is all just a marketing scheme setup by people trying to take your $
Strength and Speed development is all general physical training. Invest in a proven coach/system to achieve the results you want🫡
Give @TheBigBear73 his flowers!
A well deserved shoutout to the entire @MinnStStrength staff, especially @TheBigBear73, for the impact they have on our players every day! 💪

Good training will often look like a lot of ‘down time.’ Difficult to get used to for many of us, but Missy is spot on as always 🎯
Coaches HATE TO SEE IT.
Athletes get visibly uncomfortable.
It takes maturity to handle it correctly.
It's the REST INTERVAL.
Too often we conflate activity with achievement. But when we're training for real speed, real power, or real strength?
The session should be a lot more standing around than working.
Because the prescribed work is to go at 100% - and that takes recovery time.
So rest when the training rx demands it.
