The Texans will likely be limited at their RB position on Sunday and will have to look for ways to have success on early downs vs the Giants.
Opportunities for Houston to get the ball to players who have shown their YAC ability like Nico Collins, Jaylin Noel, and now Tank Dell.
Texans had multiple starters not practice on Wednesday including Azeez Al-Shaair (Knee), Jalen Pitre (Shoulder), Reed Blankenship (Concussion/Hand), David Montgomery (Groin), Trent Brown (Wrist), and Dalton Schultz (Quad).
Nico Collins & Will Anderson Jr. had rest days while Jadeveon Clowney & Logan Hall both were limited with their knee injuries.
Tank Dell practiced fully with his return coming this week.
Tank Dell said it helps to have the bodies in the WR room which they didn’t have late in last season.
They feed off each others energy and aren’t selfish.
Tank Dell said Demeco Ryans would call him in the offseason and tell him to take his time and be ready to be himself.
“When you’re ready we’re ready.”
Tank Dell said he is getting up and spiking the football no matter if the catch is 2 yards or 5 or 10.
He said he is ready to be tackled and anxious to be back.
C.J. Stroud credited Nick Caley & Ben McDaniels on getting multiple players touches with different formations and looks.
C.J. Stroud said he is grateful to have a coaching staff who trusts in him and listens to his input.
He said he has been listened to more this year and has been able to help install certain plays which have worked.
C.J. Stroud said he is grateful to win AFC Offensive Player of the Week but they needs to flush the performance and get ready for a good defense in the Giants.
Will Anderson Jr. said the defense playing to their standard has been off and on so far.
He said they’ve had games where they’ve played extremely well, they’ve had average games, and they’ve had games where they really struggled.
Demeco Ryans said that Jalen Pitre is still week-to-week but progressing well. Reed Blankenship is also still in the concussion protocol.
