Re: our statement on Image Generation in Google Earth:
“We know that people uniquely trust Google Earth for a reliable view of the world. We’ve seen geospatial professionals using this feature for a range of useful purposes, however we’ve also seen people sharing screenshots of generated imagery that appear to violate our policies. So we’re rolling back this feature in Google Earth while we work on implementing stronger guardrails. It's important to note that generated images didn’t appear in the main Google Earth experience for others to see and were watermarked as AI generated.”

A United Nations committee voted to inscribe a major archaeological site in the West Bank and a set of castles in southern Lebanon as World Heritage sites, despite objections from Israel, which had urged the committee to reject the bids.

I wrote about North Korea's paratrooper training facilities back in 2020, but it seems like I missed a site.
This location, north of Yonsan at 38.952559° 126.266274°, appears to have a very small jump tower. #AccessDPRK

No it does not “reveal large nuclear weapons complex.” So far, no specific information has been demonstrated that links this to China’s nuclear forces. The construction is interesting and important for other reasons, but so far no indication that includes nuclear.

If you hated the hero worship around Obama—as I did—then I don't understand making excuses for a president putting his face on buildings, currency, and passports.
Private individuals making a politician a personality trait is unhealthy. Forcing the public to do so is grotesque.
George Washington actively opposed the U.S. Mint putting his face on coinage, as it would've resembled the reverence reserved for monarchs. reason.com/2026/05/29/trumps…

A ceasefire covering an area 300m x 300m is truly “huge news and a very significant step towards peace”.

Been questioning the point of sharing stuff lately. It feeds the machine and people use the machine to copy and profit. But I remembered why I started sharing initially so here's the topography of race in the conterminous United States.

For the record, there’s no unconstitutional flaw in Tennessee’s congressional district around Memphis, which has been drawn similarly for nearly a century.
The theory being employed by the President here is that whenever a district becomes majority black, it must be broken up.

A major problem for Trump is that the current Iranian leadership is no more likely to agree to U.S. demands on the nuclear issue than Khamenei, but they ultimately might be more willing to pursue nuclear weapons. Khamenei, by most estimates, used his his veto power to block what appeared to be growing calls within the system for the bomb. If Trump declares victory now, Iran’s new leadership will be battered and bruised but will have demonstrated they can survive the worst, and may be more convinced than ever that nuclear weapons can prevent a repeat of Epic Fury.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio openly admitted today that the United States launched preemptive strikes on Iran because intelligence indicated Israel was planning its own independent military action against Iran.
He stated that U.S. officials “knew that there was going to be an Israeli action,” believed Iran would retaliate against American forces in the region as a result, and therefore chose to strike first to minimize potential U.S. casualties.
In his words, the “imminent threat” was not a direct, unprovoked attack from Iran on America, but rather Iran’s expected response to an Israeli strike that Washington knew was coming anyway.
This is entanglement in another nation’s conflict, plain and simple. The US government has dragged American service members and taxpayers into a war to shield Israel from the consequences of its own decisions.
As a result, six American service members have been confirmed dead due to yet another foreign entanglement.
When will enough be enough?

Notice how none of these neo-con lunatics talk about North Korea anymore. It's because Pyongyang figured out that the only way you get off their menu of regimes to overthrow is by acquiring a nuclear arsenal. Cool precedent we have created!
