Another fun fact for you: If Lawson goes 1-1 he’d be the first Canadian ever to top the draft and just the third player born outside the contiguous United States, joining Travis Bazzana (Australia) and Carlos Correa (Puerto Rico).
We made a switch at the top of our rankings with @GatorsBB shortstop Brendan Lawson now in the No. 1 spot. It’s the best hit-power combo in the class with solid athleticism to boot. Could become the first Gator in any major sport to be selected first overall.

Big add for the Longhorns. Sperandio is already 93-95 and touches 96 with feel to spin a pair of breaking balls. Another weapon in pitching coach Max Weiner’s arsenal.
News: Grant Sperandio, a four-star ⭐️ RHP and Baseball America’s No. 28 player in the 2027 class, is graduating early and will join the @TexasBaseball team for the 2027 season.
The Longhorns had the No. 4 recruiting class in the country for 2026 and are adding another premium arm to an already standout pitching group.

Thought Call looked good and unburdened physically yesterday in UCLA's scrimmage against Long Beach State. Center field is a good home for his athleticism, which he also showed off on the bases.
UCLA outfielder Phoenix Call is on breakout watch 👀
With a defined defensive home, a clearer path to everyday at-bats and a physical tool set that has always exceeded the stat line, 2027 could finally be the season in which Call's athleticism begins to translate into sustained production.

UCLA RHP Wylan Moss sure looked like a first rounder today against LBSU. Attacked the zone and K’d four of seven. Fastball sat 93-95 with run and ride and drew four whiffs. Change looked plus and was used against righties and lefties. Short mid-80s slider also very effective.

Keep an eye on Reggie Marshall 👀
From BA's Jacob Rudner: There’s a lot left to refine, but the combination of shortstop ability, athleticism and the possibility of future power gives evaluators multiple reasons to remain invested in his development.
