No one seems to remember that Amaechi became a governor through a similar occurrence. If it favors them it is a good and welcoming decision, if it doesn't, it is the handwork of the president. The law isn't emotional - Moyosore Oyetunji

President Tinubu knows where to talk and how to talk; look at how he finished Peter Obiโ€™s political career with this statement. โ€œPeter Obi ran away from erosion in Anambra State; I Bola Ahmed Tinubu confronted the Ocean in Lagos Stateโ€ He finished the statement without telling Nigerians to go and verify. I love you, daddy. ๐Ÿฅฐ

How I wish the original owners of the ADC that you stole their party would share this your sentiment. Democracy must be protected for everybody including those you stole their platform. Onye oshi political party. Moreover, when you contracted Van lobbyists, you thought only you has the monopoly of the court? I love your tears already. I rise
BOLA CANNOT USE THE COURTS TO ESCAPE THE PEOPLEโ€™S VERDICT; WE ARE ON THE BALLOT โ€” ATIKU Fellow Nigerians, Let no one mistake the latest court ruling for the will of the Nigerian people. No manipulation, conjecture or concoction can erase our place in this contest, silence our campaign or deny Nigerians the right to choose their future. We are on the ballot, and the people must be allowed to decide. Those who boast of having thirty-two governors and claim to have bought, pressured or coerced leaders from other parties into their fold should have no reason to fear a free and fair contest. Yet, instead of presenting their record to Nigerians, they continue to deploy every tactic available to weaken the opposition: political pressure, manufactured narratives, courtroom manoeuvres and attempts to compromise the votersโ€™ register with AI-generated photographs, false names and fictitious identities. These are not the actions of people confident in their record. They are calculated attempts to make genuine competition impossible and push Nigeria towards a one-party state. And what record do they have to defend? This government removed the fuel subsidy overnight without a plan to protect Nigerians. It presided over the steep decline of the naira and allowed food prices to rise beyond the reach of ordinary families. Factories and small businesses have shut their doors. Our young people are leaving in search of hope, while bandits and kidnappers continue to hold communities hostage. Look around you. Market stalls stand empty. Feeding your family has become a daily struggle. Fuel prices keep rising, and silent pain fills homes across the country. Those in power may want you to believe that your suffering does not matter. They may want you to surrender your future before you even reach the ballot box. Do not lose heart. Do not retreat. Your vote is your power, and together, we will take our country back. Let me be clear to every Nigerian who has stood with us: I am in this race. I am not going anywhere. We will be on the ballot. No threat, blackmail or court manoeuvre will make me abandon you or the cause we share. We will resist with all our strength every attempt to turn Nigeria into a one-party state. Nigeria belongs to all its people. Our democracy must remain open to more than one party and more than one voice. If those in power believe in their numbers and their record, let us meet at the polls in a free, fair and credible contest. Our campaign will continue. Our message on the cost of living will not be silenced or derailed. Stay calm, united and resolute. Together, we will fight for a Nigeria where life is affordable and every citizenโ€™s vote counts. Let me say this plainly: Bola cannot use the courts to escape the judgment of Nigerians at the ballot box. Atiku Abubakar Vice President of Nigeria, 1999โ€“2007 Sokoto, Nigeria 6 November 2026

President 'you know who' once staged ass@ssin@tion content twice to win election. Now, every fringe element in Nigeria asking us to trust them is busy producing their own version of "Dem don attack me" content. ร€bรญ, why not?

PANAMA PAPERS, PANDORA PAPERS: FIVE YEARS LATER, PROBES BEGIN Five years after the Pandora Papers exposed alleged undeclared offshore interests linked to Nigerian public officials, the Code of Conduct Bureau says investigations involving seven individuals have commenced. Those assigned to case officers include former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, former Senate Presidents Bukola Saraki and David Mark, former Aviation Minister Stella Oduah, and three other individuals. The investigations follow years of questions about the status of cases arising from PREMIUM TIMESโ€™ reporting on the Panama Papers and Pandora Papers. premiumtimesng.com/news/9202โ€ฆ

โ€˜In his resignation letter, Mr Obi said his decision to leave the ADC was not based on personal grievances but on the partyโ€™s internal divisions, legal disputes, external influence, and an increasingly hostile political environmentโ€™ Yet he is shocked. Such a dishonest take
Do not Undermine Democracy I have received with shock the news of an order by the Federal High Court in Abuja nullifying the emergence of the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and all the actions he has taken. This is unsettling and surprising. I do not challenge the ruling of the court. The court of law is constituted to determine disputes according to the law. My concern is that three months before a general election, it is in the public interest to have certainty. It is not good to have too many uncertainties about candidates and parties a few weeks before a presidential election. This instability is obviously engineered by the ruling party, just as they have done against me in the Labour Party and continue to do so to close down civic space for a robust campaign. It is also from the same rulebook that manufactures violence against us in our campaigns. One mark of democracy is that at all times, it is voters and not courts that choose leaders. I trust in the judiciary. As a public officer, I have shown deep respect for the judiciary. I appeal that we protect the integrity of democracy by not undermining the free and fair choice of candidates. The sustenance of democracy in Nigeria, in the midst of encroaching military rule in West Africa, should strengthen our resolve to protect opposition politics and not stamp out opposition parties. It is because of the importance of opposition to the sustenance of democracy that I have always promised that, as President, I will take a special interest in ensuring opposition parties are stable and thriving, and that opposition candidates are not persecuted out of electoral contests. This is a time to strengthen our democracy by allowing the opposition to thrive. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
