Story County remains in a bad situation for COVID-19 this morning w/ just over 1,400 active cases. 100+ people tested positive every day from Nov. 16-20.
Iowa State winter break voluntary COVID testing began on Nov. 16th and is likely finding some additional asymptomatic cases.
New This Morning: As of Nov. 17, Story County officially had more active COVID cases (1,320) than the post-801 Day peak (1,301).
BREAKING: Governor Reynolds has issued a mask mandate effective at midnight when indoors in public spaces among other restrictions.

Other relevant restrictions:
-No indoor gatherings of over 15 people
-No outdoor gatherings over 30 people
-Bars/restaurants must close at 10 PM
-All group fitness activities are prohibited
Note many of these restrictions were already in place @IowaStateU
324 new positive COVID-19 cases on campus @IowaStateU last week (down slightly from the week before) with 12.6% positivity rate.
Governor Reynolds will address the state tonight at 6:05 PM in regards to the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19 & record hospitalizations.
BREAKING: @IowaStateU announces 366 new COVID-19 cases from last week with a 15.11% positivity rate. This is the 2nd highest weekly total so far this year.
