The economics behind AAA layoffs:
AAA originally meant the highest credit rating: low risk of default.
In games, the term should mean a proven, relatively low-risk investment with strong returns. FIFA, Madden and CoD fit that model.
A $400M budget doesn't make a game AAA

Dragon Age: The Veilguard would have been more profitable with a 3-year development cycle for the PS4.
Imagine a faster sequel to Inquisition, reusing systems, art, tools and mechanics.
What did the extra years actually add that justified rebuilding so much from scratch?

Maybe Gears and Halo are culturally irrelevant in 2026, like much of the sci-fi that defined the 2000s.
StarCraft: Brood War became a cultural phenomenon in Korea. The “perfect” StarCraft sequel today wouldn’t recreate that.

Hot 'Wolverine' take.
If Wolverine can bend his hands and rotate his wrists, then realistically his claws wouldn't extend past his fingers.
Length of an ulna would be under 9"
Then the 'tang' of each blade needs to be about 50% the blade length (blade remaining in his hand).
