This is genuinely one of the worst things I've ever seen... on any game ever:
- #5 initially counter-presses and closes down Barry; #8 covers for him by dropping into backline.
- #5 runs away from the situation, leaving #22 and #10 in a 3v2.
- #22 is, logically, tentative to closing down as he's 2v1 overloaded; Barry's allowed to run.
- #5 just... STOPS??? in the middle of the counter-attack for no apparent reason.
- That leaves Grealish in acres of space to receive the cutback to score a tap-in.

Watch the #2 and #8, who have a 2v1 in their favour... AND ARE CLOSE TO THE TOUCHLINE, against Palmer... leading to a sloppy goal from a cutback that should've never occurred.

Data isn’t a crystal ball 🔮
A player can have excellent numbers and still fail at your club. Statistics provide evidence, not certainty.
Consider playing time, opposition quality, tactical fit, injuries and the context behind the numbers.
The goal isn’t to eliminate risk. It’s to make better decisions over time.
