I’ve returned from summer hiatus, and I finished this book! Just sent it off to my agent. I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever written, and if he says a SINGLE negative thing about it I’m going to have a very public meltdown 😇 also i missed you all

Emerging from a summer semi-hiatus to share I've got a new story live online today with @TheFLReview! "Mother and Child" took early inspiration from a real airplane encounter and a real little girl I'll never forget. Endless thanks to @Jake_Wolff for believing in this one.
Live today, new fiction from @keddymilligan!

I wrote a story set in coastal Georgia--featuring Walmart, camo, antelope steak, old-growth forests, horses, a couple in strife, and yes, armadillos. It's a strange one. Huge thanks to @Jake_Wolff for edits & giving this a home at @TheFLReview online!! 💛🐴floridareview.cah.ucf.edu/ar…
We bought a house today!! I am only 38 years old, so I still have a good 4 to 5 years left to live, and now as a homeowner! 🕺🏻
writer in my DMs just went *immediately* from asking about Submittable to trying to send me nudes. There is literally no one i want to see naked less than someone who has just asked about the status of their submission

My 1st-ever published poem was in @TheFLReview in 1981. I haven't made it back until now. This poem's another 1st, as I've never before written a golden shovel. Sincere 🙏 to the journal & editor @Jake_Wolff for the care they took with it & to @katieengelhart for the inspiration. – at Florida, USA
Live today, new poetry from @SayCarey1, “Relative Risk,” a beautiful & sad golden shovel about holding on & letting go ❤️

Hi friends, some job news: I’ve accepted a fiction faculty position at the University of South Florida, starting this fall. Along with being able to work with the awesome MFA students there, I’ll also get to live in the same city as my spouse for the first time in 5 years !!

I have a very short grief poem up today with @TheFLReview ! Thank you to @Jake_Wolff & the editorial team there for making a space for this poem in the world 🖤 Means a lot to have this poem in one of my home state’s excellent journals
Update on our pins: we just gave away our last one, thus lifting this witch’s curse and freeing me to fall in love again
Our table looks a little sad and empty now, but my heart is full & I would love to meet more of you! I am also tremendously awkward, which can create a *neat* social experience!
