This causes goosebumps in my soul. How can one ignore this? These are the children of a land that is known as one of the richest areas in terms of natural resources. Today, they are victims of nature, literally. #OccupiedBalochistan Read Thread 👇 – at Bahrain

I strongly condemn the sentencing of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha in a sham case. Crushing the dissent and activists is neither democratic nor justifiable. Imaan has always stood with the oppressed communities of the country and raised her voice for the needed people. Such verdicts expose the disturbing state of justice in Pakistan, where those who stand up for the vulnerable are punished instead of protected. Every such judgment further erodes public faith in the judiciary and reinforces a painful reality that justice is becoming a distant promise in Pakistan. The state and judiciary should build the trust of masses with providing justice. #ReleaseImaanAndHadi

My sister Mahrang Baloch writes from prison for @HRF “My greatest concern has never been simply when I will walk out of this prison. It is when families across Balochistan will no longer have to search for their disappeared loved ones, when young people will be able to express their political beliefs without fear, and when the demand for justice will no longer be treated as a crime.” teapawt.org/HRF/status/21143564556… #ReleaseDrMahrangBaloch
Today, HRF shines a light on human rights defender Dr. Mahrang Baloch. She is serving two life sentences in Pakistan for her advocacy on behalf of the Baloch minority, who have faced enforced disappearances, torture, and killing. Writing from prison, Mahrang describes her work as both deeply personal and collective: “I do not consider my own suffering separate from the suffering of my people. My greatest concern has never been simply when I will walk out of this prison. It is when families across Balochistan will no longer have to search for their disappeared loved ones, when young people will be able to express their political beliefs without fear, and when the demand for justice will no longer be treated as a crime.” HRF demands that Pakistan release Mahrang Baloch and echoes her vision for a society where all people can live freely, without fear: “I remain convinced that fear cannot be the permanent foundation of any society. Prisons may confine individuals, but they cannot permanently contain the desire for freedom, dignity, and justice.” Learn more → ow.ly/J7mf5100HCR #DispatchesfromDetention #MahrangBaloch

“The central focus of the meetings was Pakistan’s GSP+ status. The delegation called on European representatives to support the revocation of Pakistan’s preferential trade privileges, arguing that a country involved in widespread enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, collective punishment and other serious human rights violations should not continue receiving trade benefits without proper accountability. The delegation also handed over a detailed dossier documenting human rights concerns in #Balochistan and Pakistan’s non-compliance with the international conventions linked to the EU’s GSP+ scheme. For the past two years, BNM’s Foreign Department has carried out an extensive diplomatic campaign challenging Pakistan’s GSP+ privileges. Through meetings with European representatives, formal submissions, documented evidence and sustained diplomatic engagement, BNM has made important progress in bringing Balochistan’s human rights situation to the attention of European policymakers.” @annastrolenberg @Trade_EU @EU_today
BNM Delegation Meets MEPs in The Hague, Intensifies Campaign to Revoke Pakistan’s GSP+ Status Ahead of 2027 Review #BNMGlobalCampaigns , #BNMForeignDepartment | Sunday, October 25, 2026 thebnm.org/foreign-departmen… A delegation of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), working under the Foreign Department’s GSP+ Accountability Team, held important meetings with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) in The Hague on 23 October 2026, stepping up its campaign for the revocation of Pakistan’s GSP+ trade status ahead of the review expected in January 2027. The meetings took place during the launch event of the Union of European Federalists (UEF) Netherlands, held at Europa Experience in The Hague under the theme “Global Challenges We’re Facing Together.” During the event, the BNM delegation met with MEPs Anna Strolenberg and Raquel García Hermida-van der Walle, as well as Esther Láinez, President of the Young European Federalists (JEF) Netherlands. The delegation briefed European representatives on the human rights situation in Balochistan, the Baloch national struggle for freedom and self-determination, and Pakistan’s failure to uphold its international human rights commitments. The central focus of the meetings was Pakistan’s GSP+ status. The delegation called on European representatives to support the revocation of Pakistan’s preferential trade privileges, arguing that a country involved in widespread enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, collective punishment and other serious human rights violations should not continue receiving trade benefits without proper accountability. The delegation also handed over a detailed dossier documenting human rights concerns in Balochistan and Pakistan’s non-compliance with the international conventions linked to the EU’s GSP+ scheme. Through meetings with European representatives, formal submissions, documented evidence and sustained diplomatic engagement, BNM has made important progress in bringing Balochistan’s human rights situation to the attention of European policymakers. With Pakistan’s GSP+ review expected in January 2027, BNM considers this a crucial period for its diplomatic efforts. The party hopes that the European Union will seriously consider its proposals, evidence and submissions when reviewing Pakistan’s compliance with the conditions of the scheme. BNM believes that the European Union must remain committed to the human rights principles that underpin its trade policies. Trade preferences should not become a shield against accountability for serious human rights violations. BNM’s Foreign Department will continue its diplomatic engagement with European institutions and policymakers, pressing for the revocation of Pakistan’s GSP+ status and ensuring that the human rights situation in Balochistan remains part of the EU’s discussions on trade and accountability.

Paank strongly condemns the reported enforced disappearance of four Baloch men, including two 17-year-old students, allegedly by Pakistan's Frontier Corps (FC) during a military raid in Gubord village, Mand, on 24 October 2026, at approximately 2:00 AM. According to local reports, FC personnel raided several homes, intimidated women and children, conducted searches, and allegedly looted cash, gold, and household belongings before forcibly taking four individuals to undisclosed locations. The four reported victims are: 1. Sameer Nasir Baloch, 17, son of Nasir Baloch, a student. 2. Sagheer Baloch, 30, son of Sowal Muhammad, a farmer. 3. Zaheer Baloch, 27, son of Sowal Muhammad, a tractor driver. 4. Waseem Baloch, 17, son of Abdul Sattar, a student. All four are residents of Gubord, Mand, and were taken from their homes by FC personnel at approximately 2:00 AM on 24 October 2026. Their whereabouts remain unknown according to the information received. Paank expresses grave concern over these allegations, particularly the detention of two minors, and the reported mistreatment of women and children during the raids. If confirmed, these acts constitute serious human rights violations and may amount to enforced disappearance under international human rights law. Paank calls on Pakistani authorities to immediately disclose the whereabouts of all four individuals, ensure their safety, release them unless promptly charged with a recognizable criminal offence, and conduct an independent and impartial investigation into the reported raids, ill-treatment, and looting. The continued practice of enforced disappearances in Balochistan demands urgent international attention, accountability, and an end to impunity. #EndEnforcedDisappearances

Paank strongly condemns the killing of three Baloch civilians, including a 16-year-old shepherd and a 20-year-old student, following their enforced disappearances in Balochistan. The circumstances of these deaths raise grave concerns about extrajudicial executions, unlawful detention, and the continued lack of accountability for human rights violations. 1\. Hassan — 16-Year-Old Shepherd, Kech Hassan, son of Jumma, a 16-year-old shepherd from Mand Reekbazar, Kech, was taken into custody by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in broad daylight near Aziyaan while travelling from Mand to Tump. After 41 days of enforced disappearance, his body was recovered from Mukahndar, Mand, Kech, on 14 October 2026. His death raises serious concerns about the protection of children and the right to life. 2\. Sudais — 20-Year-Old Student, Quetta Sudais, son of Muhammad Ashraf, a 20-year-old student from Madrisa Road, Langova Mohalla, Killi Ismail, Quetta, was taken from his home at approximately 2:00 a.m. on 20 May 2026. His family submitted his case to the Missing Persons Committee under the Home Department. During the first hearing on 16 October 2026, the family received no information about his whereabouts. At the second hearing on 21 October 2026, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) informed the committee that Sudais had been killed in an encounter in Aghbarg, Qilla Abdullah, on 20 August 2026, and labelled him a terrorist. His family remained unaware of his death for two months. 3\. Adeel Baloch — Kech Adeel Baloch, a resident of Kohar, Tump, Kech, was taken into custody during a raid by Pakistani security forces and armed groups described as death squads in Kohar Bazaar. Four young men, including Adeel, were detained and transferred to undisclosed locations. Three days after his disappearance, on 23 October 2026, Adeel's body was recovered from Sarnkan, Kech. Another resident, Mushtaq, son of Master Sadeer, was taken into custody on the night of 22 October. Five young men were subjected to enforced disappearance in Kohar during this period, with the whereabouts of the remaining missing individuals unresolved. PAANK CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE ACCOUNTABILITY These three cases highlight serious concerns about the recurring pattern of enforced disappearances, prolonged incommunicado detention, and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan. The deaths of young civilians following their disappearance demand urgent and independent scrutiny. Paank calls upon the United Nations, international human rights organisations, and relevant UN Special Rapporteurs to demand independent investigations into these deaths, the immediate disclosure of the fate and whereabouts of all missing persons, and accountability for those responsible. Pakistan must uphold its obligations under international human rights law, including the right to life, protection against torture, and the prohibition of arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance. #StopBalochGenocide

. @MMuizzu While you deepen ties with Pakistan, please be aware of the ongoing human rights crisis in Occupied Balochistan. Independent groups, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Amnesty International, and UN experts have repeatedly documented hundreds of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and patterns of impunity targeting Baloch civilians, students, and activists. True partnership between countries should include raising these concerns and pressing for accountability, due process, and an end to crimes including forcible occupation. The Baloch people deserve freedom, peace and justice.
I am honoured to arrive in Islamabad for my first State Visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, accompanied by my wife and delegation. I extend my sincere appreciation to the Government and the brotherly people of Pakistan for the exceptional warmth and distinguished ceremonial welcome accorded to us. I look forward to fruitful engagements that will further deepen our bilateral relations, strengthen our partnership, and advance the shared aspirations of our two nations. @CMShehbaz

Paank Condemns the Killing of Two Forcibly Disappeared Baloch Youths in Buleda, #Balochistan Paank, the Human Rights Department of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), strongly condemns the killing of two previously forcibly disappeared Baloch youths, Yasir and Mehran Baloch, whose bodies were found today in Buleda, Kech district, Balochistan. Yasir, aged 19, son of Baloch Khan, was a student from Minaz, Buleda. He was forcibly disappeared by Pakistan's Frontier Corps (FC) from his home on 2 March 2026. Mehran Baloch, son of Haji Akber, was forcibly disappeared on 16 November 2025, when Pakistani security forces raided his home in Minaz, Buleda, and transferred him to a military camp. His whereabouts remained unknown until the discovery of his body. Paank strongly condemns these enforced disappearances and the reported killings, and demands an independent investigation into the deaths and the involvement of Pakistani security forces. These deaths highlight the ongoing human rights crisis in Balochistan, where enforced disappearances, arbitrary detention, torture, and extrajudicial killings continue to threaten civilian lives. Such violations constitute grave breaches of international human rights law. Paank calls upon the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and the international community to demand an immediate, impartial investigation, hold those responsible accountable, and take urgent measures to end enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan. Paank stands in solidarity with the families of Yasir and Mehran Baloch and demands truth, justice, and accountability.

Today brought important developments in three cases before the Balochistan and Sindh High Courts. At the Balochistan High Court, in the appeal against the life sentence of Dr. Mahrang and Shah Ji Sibghatullah, the Court asked the prosecution to submit the record and directed that paper books be prepared. In the CP regarding the faceless trial, the Court asked the prosecution to file its reply and adjourned the matter for two weeks. At the Sindh High Court, a bench headed by Justice Shamsuddin Abbasi dismissed the appeal filed by the Sindh Government against the acquittal of Dr Mahrang by the ATC Karachi in the case registered at PS Quaidabad. #ReleaseBYCLeaders
