The last time Taeo Meppen-Walter walked onto the pitch at Victory Park, he was celebrating promotion in his dad’s arms.
On Saturday, he returned to that same pitch, surrounded by his family, to remember and honour his dad.
In the most heartbreaking of circumstances, Courtney’s family were reminded just how much he meant to so many people. A much-loved son, partner, dad, brother and family member, but also someone who touched the hearts of everyone at Chorley Football Club.
Saturday was about more than football. It was about love, family, togetherness and remembering someone who meant so much to us all.
We will always remember Mepps. He will forever be part of the Chorley FC family. 🖤🤍

We are delighted to announce the signing of versatile midfielder James Ball on a two-year contract ❤️
Ah guys. Where to start?!
2 years?? Where’s the time gone.
First of all I just want to start by saying thank you to all you DONS fans. When I came here I didn’t realise what this club would end up meaning to me and my family. You made me fall in love with football again and for that I will be eternally grateful.
My team mates, my friends. I wouldn’t have wanted to share these last 2 years with any other group of people so thank you all for putting up with me every day in our journey to become play off CHAMPIONS 🤩
The manager, the playing staff, the back room staff, everyone involved at the club. You’ve treated me like one of your own and for that I will always be thankful.
What’s more to say other than we did it. I came here with the ambition and a dream that we would one day we would be able to celebrate promotion together, and I couldn’t have asked for a better leaving present. I’m sad to be leaving but it couldn’t have ended in a better note, PROMOTION BABY 🏆🥇
I’m sure we will cross paths again. And for sure I’m a Womble forever. Thank you. I love you all.
Signing off, for now.
BALLY ❤️

💪 @JamesBall18 rolled back the years by impressing at the heart of defence before injury intervened – and he’s willing to play anywhere on the pitch to help the Dons to success.
Edging closer to a return, this is James’ story in-depth. 🖊️
