π₯Hot off the pressπΆοΈ This study by @sarahkervinvoice, Kaila Harris, @MeganEUrbano, & @curtisAIRlab assessed relationships between perceptions of clinical terminology and their use in #voice therapy in 112 speech-language pathologists π©ββοΈπ¨ββοΈ #SLP #medslp doi.org/10.1016/j.jvoice.202β¦
Perceived positivity of a term was significantly related to clinical endorsement π For every 1-point increase in perceived positivity rating (using a 5-point Likert scale), respondents were 60.5 times more likely to indicate the term should be used in clinical practice.
The figure below depicts the frequency with which various voice-related terms were used 'sometimes', 'almost always', or 'always' during #voice therapy ποΈπΆ - providing an important landscape ποΈof current voice therapy practice patterns π₯
