why airdrops to @cryptopunks never worked, and why this one is different
let's be honest. every previous airdrop to punk holders failed. @punksOTC was right about that. the pattern is real. but the pattern has a reason, and the reason is what matters
every previous airdrop was a random project trying to borrow the punk brand. some DeFi protocol or NFT collection would airdrop to punk wallets as a marketing stunt. "we airdropped to punk holders" was the headline. the punks were the billboard, not the point
the punks had no connection to the project. no reason to care. no reason to hold. it was free money from a stranger. of course they sold. anyone would
$PUNK is different for one simple reason: there is no separate project
there's no DeFi protocol using punks for credibility. no NFT collection borrowing the name. no team building something else and hoping punks will care
the token IS the community. the entire thesis is: the oldest, most connected, most convicted community in crypto deserves a liquid ticker
and the numbers prove it
2800 punk holders are still holding their $PUNK. 92% diamond hands. only around 200 punks sold
previous airdrops to punks? most were majority sold. the sell rate on $PUNK is 6%, after 24 hours of the timeline questioning everything about it

After serving as CEO the past couple years, I’m moving into the role of Chairman of the Board, and @mfigge will become Yuga’s next CEO.
Figge is the absolute best person for the job. There’s no one I trust more to lead Yuga through this next chapter.
He’s relentless about product quality, he thinks longterm, and he knows how to take a vision and make it real. His work on Otherside the past year is proof of that, and you haven’t seen the half of it.
And I’ve loved watching Figge get his hands dirty in the world of BAYC over the last few weeks. The club is better for it.
Creative direction, writing, and figuring out insane ideas is still where I do my best work. And with Figge taking over the CEO role, I get to go back to it. I can’t wait for what Yuga builds next.

Meebits are one of THE strongest and most dedicated projects to have ever launched. I mean this in the nicest way but they do not get the credit for everything they've done!
1 - 32.9% diamond hands (never sold)
2 - 67.1% have sold at some point
So about a third of holders have just held the whole way since launch in May 2021 and the current FP is a WHOPPING 0.3333 ETH!!
An outrageously solid % and FP for a project that’s been around that long.

Over the last two weeks our tech team has deployed three things that I vibecoded on weekends.
- Automated buyback bot for @meebitsfutbol
- Internal project management tool
- A Fútbol prediction market tracker
None of the apps were 100% ready to ship so the team had to rework some things, but the fact that we can move this quickly feels like we unlocked super powers.
This has also helped us align MeebCo much better with our vision of being a digital asset company first, building on Meebits as a platform.
Most of the big players in the industry are indexing on physical products, but I continue to believe that absent their use as marketing tools to support fungible token valuations, the real edge is to build for digital.
We all know the world is moving in our direction, it would be shortsighted to fumble the head start we got. It’s awesome to be able to code and ship ideas this quickly now.

The story of Punch-kun, known as Punch, the baby monkey, who was rejected by his mother.
Punch, is a seven-month-old baby macaque monkey who inhabits the Ichikawa Zoo in Japan.
Born in July 2025, Punch had to swallow a harsh reality when his birth mother refused and abandoned him shortly after he was born.
Seeing this condition, the animal keepers at Ichikawa City Zoo immediately acted as foster parents. However, human hands alone were not enough to help calm the baby primate.
Zoo officials then gave Punch an orangutan plushie, which he began treating like a "surrogate mother" or an “adopted mother”, keeping it close while navigating life inside the enclosure.
He’s just a baby. Look at that sweet little guy. He looks so lonely.

really sucks to have to say goodbye to some long term team members. Worst part of the job. They are incredibly talented and anyone would be lucky to have them.
We’re doubling down on product+eng at Yuga and needed to reconfigure our team structure; our latest acquisition brings in 26 folks into the company in addition to a lot of very key tech.
