In 1995 Malcolm Glazer shocked the world by agreeing to buy one of the worst NFL teams in the league for a record price of $192M dollars.
His bid was $50M dollars more than the second highest offer.
The NFL had questions about how’d he get the money to finance this monumental purchase but little did they know, Glazer’s sky high bids are what made him rich in the first place.
Here's how he pulled off the NFL's most unlikely deal and became a sports mogul in the process:

The Strauss-Howe generation theory describes a recurrent cycle of same-aged groups with specific behavior patterns that change every 20 years.

According to this theory, an 80-year cycle is crucial, when every four generations is associated to a crisis that impacts the ongoing social order and creates a new one.
This is visual representation of the USA 80-year history cycles, as laid out in the 1997 book 'The Fourth Turning: An American Prophecy—What the Cycles of History Tell Us About America's Next Rendezvous with Destiny by authors William Strauss and Neil Howe.

2 years into ILtB, I wrote a little summary of what I’d learned. 6.5 years in, I wouldn’t change much about those lessons
At the time I called it “trail magic.” Today we turned that into a post which you can read here: joincolossus.com/editorials/…
This whole experience has had a magical quality to it, most of all because of meeting people that changed my view of life and business and investing. In todays episode, we condensed 3 such magical people down to 25 minutes each.
My hope is that this serves as a great intro to new listeners, a sort of mini tasting menu from @samhinkie @BoydVarty and Charlie Songhurst.
Share it with someone you love. I hope you find your trail as I have.

In 1995, Charlie Munger gave a speech at Harvard about the most common causes of human misjudgement.
I think this is one of the most useful collection of ideas in a single piece of media.

Markets Are Eating The World...
A summary of the brilliant piece by @TaylorPearsonMe.
