How to spot summer coming to a close: watch the barley fields. Golden stalks are ready to harvest b4 the heavy morning dew comes back. We need a stretch of hot/dry weather b4 & after the barley comes down. Plus, it has to happen when filming isn't! Talk about precision farming!
