Every weekend I sit watching United thinking it can’t keep getting worse and every week somehow it does.
We should be 4-0 up at halftime and here we are 15 mins later 2-0 with ten men.

More questions than answers on Ben Whittaker IMO. Talent not in doubt and this last fight has given him rounds and tested him in ways that would have helped him but I’m not seeing someone that can beat the best right now. This next step up will tell us a lot.

Ben’s problem isn’t talent. He has the athleticism, speed, dimensions and enough technical ability to compete at a very high level.
The chin concerns me, sure. But the bigger concern is his demeanor once the waters start getting rough. He doesn’t bite down and fight through it. Instead, he starts looking for the life jacket.
And that’s the difference between being talented and being elite. He was fortunate it was Wallace in there. Because if that’s Benavidez or even a Willy Hutchinson, they would’ve put him through the ropes.
At the elite level, everybody has talent. Eventually, somebody takes your best weapon away, hurts you, makes you tired and makes you uncomfortable. Then we find out what you brought that nobody could teach you.
With Ben, I believe that compartment is empty.
A talent? Absolutely. Elite? No.
