"I don't think he has any public case studies..." I've built a website using AI at the start of the year, and I'm sharing it with you. I understand that not releasing sites is the norm, and I don't recommend that SEOs do this, as there are plenty of copycats out there. Anyway, here are the details: Let's talk money. I find growth curves to be one of the more entertaining types of content. I really enjoy those updates. Here's mine: EARNINGS I published my site with 570 articles on 17th of January 2024 using a fresh domain, and LEFT IT ALONE by the 2nd of Feb. The content cost $458.12. And even doing NOTHING, it’s earning: • Month 1: $0 • Month 2: $0 • Month 3: $0 • Month 4: $40.65 • Month 5: $237.50 • Month 6: $698.07 • Month 7: $1,448.35 • Month 8: $... Amazon earnings: It's worth noting that I added display ads (Grow Mediavine) during month 6 which was the end of Q2. I have now been added to the regular Mediavine (not the Grow), so the Ad income should increase and RPMs are always higher in Q4. TIME I invest around 30 hrs over the 3 weeks into the business, and some extra time (20hrs) from my VA, to edit content and add internal links (which AI is now better at). I came back to the website in month 6, because adding digital products etc, which took around 5 hrs of my time and 25 hrs of my VA. This was more experimenting what would work etc. LINK BUILDING This was more of a test to see if On-page SEO and AI would work in 2024. So, the only link building I did was 100 citations. And building an IFTTT network (which works on future posts, which I haven't published at the time of writing). The site has an impressive DR 0.8! Link Building is important, even though it hasn’t been a main focus. The main reasoning is the greater DR the less competitors will try and copy. One of the main reasons I don’t build these builds in public projects often! In my opinion, the main focus should be internal link building rather than external link building. I did this through the Money Silo Framework. I will start actively acquiring more links but mainly naturally through linkable asset pages, I’m publishing a lot of examples and giving them away for FREE on Gumroad. BIGGEST LEARNING You need… Niche research, Keyword research, Basic SEO on-page knowledge, Internal linking, and Conversion rate optimisation (CRO), to build a successful asset. WHAT'S NEXT This site was generally a testing website built quickly with minimal capital and largely runs on auto-pilot. The next few opportunities are expanding the digital products, using the Kindle flywheel method, updating content, and adding new content. This isn’t a main part of my portfolio, as it’s always risky sharing all this information. But I'll be working on improving the income and sharing the extra information in the Conversion Collective. Depending on what it’s like in January, I'll do the "flip" model and sell it after it's 12 months old. The peak day was 1824 clicks a day. Not too shabby for a (2-3 week) PASSIVE ASSET, right?
