My former boss was kidnapped.
He has never been the same ever since.
The kidnappers invaded his home, shot his gateman and took him to another location, where he was held captive for days.
He was beaten, tortured and brutally assaulted with cutlasses.
Their initial ransom demand was ₦30 million, but they eventually agreed to ₦12 million.
Apart from the ransom, they also requested foodstuff, power banks and several other items.
The police advised against following whoever would deliver the ransom because nobody knew what the kidnappers looked like, and doing so could put his life in greater danger.
Eventually, the ransom was paid.
