I’ve seen this pattern outside Hollywood too. The best people I’ve worked with were often blunt, sometimes tough, but you always knew where you stood. The ones who were all smiles in public were usually the ones nobody wanted to be alone in a room with. Respect builds loyalty that charm never will.
