Sharing a special professional moment . Not only is this paper important in advancing science, but it was created by an amazing team including the second author (who was chosen as second author by other team members due to the incredible work that she contributed.) So proud.

Women are “choosing a job over their own children” but men are “working hard for their families.”
✨This is sexism.✨

If you vote for Donald Trump in November, I will not judge you for your choice of political party.
I will judge you for your lack of morals, ethics and humanity.
I will judge you for your support of racism, misogyny, and fascism.
So will others. So will history.

There are no words for the loss and shock our CHOP family is feeling. Barbara embodied the best of all of us. Her memory will live on in each of us whose lives she touched.
Please keep her loved ones in your thoughts

Each of my 7 grandkids is a precious gift from God. But sometimes families need help.
You can count on this grandpa to always protect IVF.

ICU Stories:
20 years' old presents to her primary care provider w few days of "cold" symptoms & cough. Vitals stable besides heart rate of 160. Sent to the ED: BP 123/84, HR 141, RR 24, afebrile, sat 97% on room air. Labs: WBC 13k, BNP 600 (normal <100), trop I 100 (nl <15)
The strangest part of being a researcher is that I sometimes spend a whole morning reading (new literature). It’s such a mind f*%} bc I feel like I accomplished nothing, yet it’s integral to my professional life!
All of a sudden there’s an Australian biologist with the same name as me and it’s messing up my Pubmed counts 🤣🤣🤣#academicproblems

1/ An interesting read though nothing surprising. Women do more ‘academic housework’ but I invite you to think about something: women are also urged in leadership training & mentoring to say no more & focus on career serving tasks. So here’s the thing… kifinfo.no/en/2024/03/women-…

Pulmonary embolism is a blood clot in the pulmonary arteries but is often missed.
How is pulmonary embolism diagnosed, and why does early diagnosis matter? @bcmaughan @OHSU_CPREM @OHSUNews @JarmanAF @klinelab bmj.com/content/384/bmj-2022…
