One of the Britain's climbing legends, Joe Brown,from Manchester, has died at the age of 89.He was a pioneer of rock climbing during the 1950s and 1960s. His 1967 ascent of the Old Man of Hoy in Orkney was broadcast live by the BBC. He died at his home in LLanberis, Snowdonia.
