I wish more people remembered that education does not equal school. You can get there without school and you can do good for the world and for yourself without school. It's not nearly as easy to do it without education, but you can find education in a ton of places.

Excited for the end of this week. I'll be at TEDxNOLA to listen to and meet some really interesting people. Looking forward to it. Anyone else going?

I'mma be sore tomorrow I haven't done a driving range or played golf in like decades probably. My PB tonight was 209 yards with the driver twice. That's not too bad right?

Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon! It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix. Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher. Looks like an Apple TV now lol

Neat!
Whoa It’s rare to see anything really cool in housing products that are unique and functional anymore but this is great

Hit the 1700 miles on my Lectric XPremium bike today.. I think I ended up at 1710 when I parked it for the day. What a beautiful day to ride and put about 24 miles on the bike. Hope y'all are enjoying this beautiful fall weather!

Here is how dinner turned out tonight. Leighann never has a T-Bone in her butcher case, but she sure did today. That was Dad's favorite celebration cut when he could afford it. So, you know I grabbed one. Cheers y'all! Happy Birthday to my old man.
Today would have been my Dad's 79th birthday. I'm gonna make a Farmer's run for a couple big ol' ribeyes to celebrate him with his traditional birthday dish. Steak, baked potato, some veg he may eat, and a Coor's Light. He's been gone 10 years now. Happy Birthday Pops!

What's happening next to Bayou St John this weekend? Across from the post office? Some kind of festival / concert? @Dan_5DotOh any idea?

Not to distract from my previous message and celebration of my Dad, but my goodness the steak cuts at Rouses were booty. It was funny that the choice stuff had way more fat marbling then the prime stuff, but the cut on the choice itself was so weird and too much of the cap gone

I understand a lot of people only really know steaks from the grocery store these days, but once you find a butcher that cares and what not it's hard to go back even if you aren't getting the bougie breeds and stuff.

Man, I'm loving watching Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars on AppleTV. It's wild how much the host Jesse Burgess sounds like Roy Kent in the voice over when he's not on screen. Hilarious and maybe only noticeable since we just watched Ted Lasso.

Introducing Maple (Mapleton) our newest pet member of the Carpentier family. PJ and Rachel met her at Petco in the adoption area for St Charles Parish. They fell in love quick and I'm a sucker for all the cuties that were involved (my wife, daughter and the kitty).
