Does your team follow the 50/72 rule for Git commit messages?
Would line-length guidance in Visual Studio help you catch overly long subjects and body lines before committing?

Ever come back to a long-running GitHub Copilot chat and wonder when an agent action happened?
Would timestamps on messages and agent activity help you understand the timeline and debug longer sessions?

CSS color swatches coming to Visual Studio. Works for SCSS and LESS too. This just got merged.
I'm getting nostalgic Web Essentials vibes from this :)

Let's double down on Test Explorer improvements in Visual Studio. What features or tweaks do you need to make testing better in Visual Studio for YOU?
Don't hold back.

If Visual Studio had a setting to stop builds when the first project fails, then it would speed it up significantly. Here is a 227-project solution, with a syntax error in one of the projects.
Would you enable the setting?

It's time we update the Fonts and Colors options page in Visual Studio. This is in the works

Let's keep the scope manageable for this question. What small tweak can we make to Visual Studio that would make you happy?

How about this old feature request to cancel the solution build after first project build fails to speed things up. Cast your vote if you're interested in this feature still.

🚨 CRITICAL: Active supply chain attack on axios -- one of npm's most depended-on packages.
The latest [email protected] now pulls in [email protected], a package that did not exist before today. This is a live compromise.
This is textbook supply chain installer malware. axios has 100M+ weekly downloads. Every npm install pulling the latest version is potentially compromised right now.
Socket AI analysis confirms this is malware. plain-crypto-js is an obfuscated dropper/loader that:
• Deobfuscates embedded payloads and operational strings at runtime
• Dynamically loads fs, os, and execSync to evade static analysis
• Executes decoded shell commands
• Stages and copies payload files into OS temp and Windows ProgramData directories
• Deletes and renames artifacts post-execution to destroy forensic evidence
If you use axios, pin your version immediately and audit your lockfiles. Do not upgrade.
