Remember how you felt the moment before Oregon kickoff on September 27, 2025. Ranked number 3. Although it turned out there were problems, it didn’t feel like it then. Just 53 weeks later, and who knows how many more it will be until Penn State plays a game like that again.

We never even saw numbers like this with Kaytron and Singleton. This is absurd.

This is the worst Penn St team in probably the last decade. I have never seen such atrocious play on both sides of the ball. We have been spoiled with top defenses in the past and now Northwestern has two RBs with over 100 rushing yards in the first half. Make it stop.

Did Penn State forget how to play offense & defense? I mean this is the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever witnessed.

Reminds me of when Kevin Cash pulled Blake Snell after 73 pitches in a must win World Series game. Over management at its finest. I don’t care what Tracy thinks, you do not pull your starters after 83 & 70 pitches respectively especially with a thinner bullpen than usual.
Chad Tracy on the decision to pull Sonny Gray and Payton Tolle early: "We’re trailing, we’re struggling to score runs, and when you get in spots where you’re struggling to score runs and you’re already trailing you feel like you gotta be aggressive. Getting back to that top part of the lineup they got a couple hits against him. See if you can put it out, and if you can put it out you’re kind of lined up where we wanted to go. And it just didn’t work." "Trying to be aggressive and create tough matchups and it just didn't work out." 🎙️ Presented by @WBMasonCo

The more I think about it the more I realize this may be one of the worst losses I have seen in the last like 7 years. The only other two that come to mind are 2022 Ohio St and 2021 Iowa. Both of which were top 10 teams, so Wisconsin being unranked makes this even worse.
Not to be dramatic, but I didn’t think Penn State’s season would be over by week 4. You cannot have one of the weakest schedules in the country, lose to Wisconsin, and still make the playoffs. Absolute gut punch.

I don’t understand the Duran hate. Half the fan base wants him gone & he has not even been that bad. We know what kind of player he is, so having unrealistic expectations is your own fault. He is solid defensively, steals bags, has some pop, and has been great with RISP.
Duran is borderline unplayable against any pitcher with a good breaking ball. He just has no chance

Point proven last night. Sogard is electric and is exactly what this team needs. Switch hitting utility player that never makes a moment bigger than it is. If jerseys weren’t $140, I’d have #20 on my back.
Nick Sogard is a gamer. Probably the best plate discipline on the whole team & plays really solid defense. Even his outs are often hard hits. Does not get too high or low emotionally & is willing to do whatever for the team to win. If Nick Sogard had one fan, it would be me.

20 years ago, Nick Sogard is a starting second baseman for 10 years in the big leagues.

Very high level analysis here. UCLA had an interim coach for the majority of the year & Michigan had Sherrone Moore. You should not have to step foot at the media day to realize those are upgrades. I would argue all 4 are upgrades.
After two days of media days in Chicago I think UCLA and Michigan hade massive upgrades with their coaching hires. We’ll see on Penn State and Michigan State. Could be.

“They feasted on the Mets, Angels, and the Orioles” Also swept the Yankees, White Sox, and the Rays who are the 3 best teams in the AL. Rays & Yankees are also top 5 in the whole league. Does this guy get paid to talk baseball?
Will the Red Sox make the Postseason? Tom Verducci sees it, but @robparkerMLBbro disagrees.

Zack Kelly has been great. This is a horrible move.
The corresponding move: Zack Kelly was optioned to AAA Worcester, according to @ChrisCotillo.

Red Sox are awful. It’s just embarrassing at this point.

Call me crazy, but I love this team.
Your 2026 Boston Red Sox Opening Day roster.

Regardless of everything listed below, Griffin is the number 1 prospect in baseball… so probably Griffin.
Both 1st rounders. One is building his brand with flamboyancy. One is building his brand with dynamic performance and humility. You get to pick one for your team. Who do you pick. Max Clark or Konnor Griffin.

Just like any division, there are outliers at the top & bottom. As much as it pains me to say, I do think D2 has a slight edge over NAIA on average. That being said, I didn’t play at a premier NAIA program, but many of my teammates could’ve easily thrived at the D2 level.
Is NAIA Baseball better than Division 2? @tnor46 and @_TaylorThomas14 think so Catch the rest of this discussion on Episode 3 of the NAIA Ball Podcast out now on all platforms! #NAIABall

Has to be one of the craziest situations in sports right now. Getting paid all this money, potential top draft pick, and you pick & choose when you want to play.
NEW: Kansas star true freshman Darryn Peterson has college programs debating their spending after missing his 11th game🤔 “Is one $3M freshman worth more than three $1M players who are fully bought in for a full season,” a GM asks @JoeTipton. Story: on3.com/news/college-program…
