My annual letter about my father, who passed away 26 years ago today, the importance of fathers and good men. Hat tip to a good one in Cal Nichols who passed recently. oilersnation.com/news/father…

"Edmonton is one of the best teams in the offensive zone at switching sides, and that often spreads out the defensive team. For the bottom six to create offensive chances that is a good strategy and should lead to fewer one-and-done opportunities," Viveiros now on @Sports1440

New Coaching 101 segment. Very excited for it. Manny has a great understanding of the game and we will look at different plays, goals, situational play and more now on @sports1440.

"He will maximize his opportunity this week. He's been a pro all year. His demeanor has changed this week as he prepares as the starter. His strengths are his arm and decision making. I'm excited to see him the game," Austin Mack on Taylor Powell who will start at QB. @Sports1440

RNH will play Thursday said Babcock. Said it will help their centre depth and allow him to spread out minutes more.

“I’m just trying to stay even keel and go back to my centre and just remind myself to have fun playing and be present. I think the game can get chaotic and just stepping away and living in my own world for a second helps me calm things down and focus on what I need to do.” Devon Levi on him kneeling down during TV timeouts and other down times in the game.

Bouchard birthday goal to win it in OT.

Prime example of why 3x3 has become boring...retreating, sitting back...not attacking...Wild had puck for 1:59 and did nothing with it. Then took a too many men on ice penalty on a terrible change. Karma for ruining what should be most exciting part of the game.

Hartman ties it. Left wide open in the slot. Oilers fell asleep on the soft chip and chase and no one picked up Hartman in the slot. Tie game as Wild score twice in 2:37.

Kaprizov with his league-leading 11th goal of the season pulls Wild within one. Wild top line has controlled most of the play at 5x5 against the Oilers top line tonight. Lines 2-4 have won the 5x5 battle for EDM.

This morning Dach mentioned one area he wants to improve on his boxing guys out. He just boxed out the Wild forward and his positioning might have saved a goal as puck went off his skate and Wild forward couldn't get a stick on it.

I'd rather have Walman on 2nd unit PP than Shea. Shea is really solid on PK.

Walman with the leg drag to stop the cross seam pass... Oilers kill off both Wild penalties including 44 seconds of 5-on-3.
