Even when I talk about fully believing in a system I have to use the word faith. Because that is emotional. Great piece from @haumicharts

A bunch of 40-60 year olds playing basketball… “My hamstring I need a break. I can’t stand.” “My whole leg is cramped and won’t let go.” “My face is bleeding” “I just had eye surgery last month and I can’t see anything. I can’t play.” Want to play one more? Collectively “YES”

Sold 11 positions this morning, a lot of them for small losses. When I’m fully allocated and new signals are coming in, losers that aren’t working right away have to go.

Every decision ever made by a human was driven by emotion. Believing you’re the exception is the most emotional belief you can hold.

The entire market cap of bitcoin is greater than Brazils market cap. It’s just not a serious contender in global markets. I’m more concerned with how this impacts the commodity super cycle! @JasonP138 from volatility comes opportunity 🙂
It is worth noting that Brazil, one of the world’s ten largest economies, can see its stock market plunge nearly 17%, its small-cap stocks collapse 30%, and its currency lose 12% before noon on a Monday, with virtually no corresponding reaction across global stock markets, cryptocurrencies, precious metals, or traditional safe havens. No comparable panic. No meaningful global contagion. No systemic repricing. No impact. No effect. Remarkable.

We've seen a nice countertrend rally in bonds over the last couple of weeks, but the long end of the treasury curve remains below its lows from Q4 2023 (price). We need to recover those levels to see a sustainable year end rally in equities.

I’ve been talking about the bond market for a long time. And for good reason. Bonds have been getting absolutely destroyed for years, and we’ve been positioned on the right side of that trend. But something interesting is happening right now. aaoresearch.substack.com/p/t…

The last time speculators were this bearish euro, price went vertical for more than a year. The weaker dollar led to one of the lowest-volatility years in stock market history (2017). Will history repeat? IDK, but IMO, this is the most important chart in the world right now.

I don't like metals from the long side right now, but I don't mind trading the relative values. Copper looks poised to outperform gold for the foreseeable future.
