I keep seeing uninformed posts like xitter.cf/NyxXeres/status/170335…, so I'd like to set the record straight. Kevin Rushforth and his team at Oracle are working on #JavaFX. youtube.com/watch?v=FFlVaB8o… Equally importantly, @johanvos and his team at @GluonHQ are the #JavaFX WORA magicians.

This looks incredible @SeanMiPhillips! Awesome work! If someone can look at this, and say that #JavaFX is not for them ... then I reckon that, in fact, #JavaFX may not be the right fit for their preferences.
I agree that web canvas is great! @jpro_one renders #JavaFX into a canvas. In fact, @dlemmermann's entire jfx-central website jfx-central.com/home was made using @jpro_one. #JavaFX Write once, run anywhere. Finally a reality from web, to mobile, to embedded, and desktop.

Because #JavaFX is open source, great for research projects (just ask @SeanMiPhillips), & enables CSS stylable designs. Furthermore, #JavaFX Scene Builder is convenient for prototyping UIs quickly, without having to pay a Qt licensing fee for commercial projects. + #FXGL is cool!
glTF and GLB (glTF Binary) are becoming important file formats for 3D on the web. If anyone is interested in contributing a glTF importer for #JavaFX / #FXyz, perhaps this non-JavaFX Java code could be a starting point? github.com/javagl/JglTF
Yes, #FXyz has 3D model importers for OBJ and Maya! If anyone wants to contribute an importer for FBX or USDZ or GLB / glTF that would be amazing. :-) Thanks so much to @SeanMiPhillips and @JPeredaDnr and others for making #FXyz happen!

@tomosan119 This is incredible! How are you solving for the cloth dynamics?
I'm curious are y'all using Oracle JDK or a non-Oracle OpenJDK alternative? If so, which non-Oracle OpenJDK are you using, and why?
