Spent the last few days in Dallas for the RNC Midterm Convention, and Ohio was well represented. Good to see Vice President @JDVance and Senator @berniemoreno, both of whom understand that the people who build things and work hard in this country deserve a government that works as hard as they do.
That’s the job I’m running for. Ohio’s Treasurer manages the state’s money, and it should be managed the way a family in Ohio manages theirs. Carefully, transparently, and with the next generation in mind.
November 3. Let’s go win this thing.

Last night I was proud to stand with the hardworking men and women of Laborers' Local 534, IAM Local 1943, the Steelworkers, and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 18 at the Ohio EPA hearing in Middletown.
I spoke in support of Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. and the modernization of the No. 3 blast furnace at Middletown Works. This project means good-paying jobs, a stronger local economy, and a future for American steelmaking right here in Ohio.
When our workers and our industries succeed, Ohio succeeds. I’ll always show up and fight for the people who build this state.

Jay Edwards is a native son of Southeast Ohio, born and raised in Nelsonville. He first ran for public office in 2016 at just 27 years old, inspired by President Trump and a desire to bring common-sense conservative leadership to Columbus. In a key victory, he flipped a Democrat-held seat and served in the Ohio House of Representatives until 2025, when he left due to term limits.
During his time in the State House, Jay established himself as a serious fiscal conservative and effective policymaker. As Chair of the House Finance Committee, he played a leading role in shaping Ohio’s budget and advancing major reforms. He sponsored and helped pass a $3.2 billion tax cut for Ohioans and was a strong advocate for universal school choice, expanding educational opportunity for families across the state.
Jay Edwards has shown he understands how to manage taxpayer dollars responsibly, reduce the burden on working families, and promote policies that strengthen Ohio’s economy. He brings real experience in budgeting, finance, and policy implementation at the highest levels of state government.
