🚨 Akademiks speaks on Drake & J. Cole NOT submitting their music to the GRAMMYs and says Kendrick Lamar’s dominance has made artists feel like the outcome is already decided. Ak says the Grammys “OVERCORRECTED” after Macklemore beat Kendrick for good kid, m.A.A.d city in 2014. “Since 2014, Kendrick Lamar has won 27 Grammys.” Ak compares that with Drake winning 4 in that span, J. Cole 2, Future 3 and Nicki Minaj still having none. “This type of dominance is like Tiger Woods early on versus the rest of the golfers.” Ak says he understands why Drake and Cole would rather sit out than have their names used to make the race look competitive. “I’d rather not be in a race where my name is just on the nominees list to make it look like there’s competition, but I know where it’s going to go.”
