Just finished the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Campaign. LOVED the story. Graphics are amazing. Gameplay feels real good. The mission Stranded was a great addition to the franchise.
HOWEVER... there are parts of it that just drove me crazy that seemed unnecessary. The enemies seem to always know where you are, even in missions where you can switch between different characters. I had a helicopter that would immediately switch to whoever I switched to even if I didn't fire anything yet.
There were also situations in Stranded where I would use the mobile drone and be pretty far off where I had it attack, drop a mortar and watch every enemy start moving straight to my location. To me that makes no sense and is poor design. They have no reason to know I am there.
Also the amount of times my squad either jumped in front of me while I was shooting or I just couldn't tell if it was my team or the enemy was annoying. Way too many friendly fire deaths for no reaosn.
With all that said, the checkpoints are VERY forgiving, so even though it was annoying, when I messed up I didn't feel like I lost much of my progress, and I like that.
I don't know how much multiplayer I will do. I feel like it just stresses me out too much and honestly, I turn 46 on Saturday and I know my days of being fast enough to compete in those game modes are behind me. I don't know, we'll see.
I really liked Dunn, Park and Kal. I felt an attachment to them as the story progressed. Some really huge OMG moments. Not sure how I feel about it but it makes sense at the same time.
Bottom line, as someone that has played every Call of Duty and started at Call of Duty 2, this is one of my favorite campaigns in a while story-wise, and that's what I am in it for. If you're a fan of Call of Duty, you really don't need to be sold on it. Just get it. If you ever enjoyed Call of Duty at any point in time, I think you'll be pretty happy with it.
I was pretty hardcore into Call of Duty right up until I fell in love with Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3. My favorite Call of Duty is still World at War.
Anyway, Dunn is great. Reminds me of all the goofy Marines I grew up around (my Dad was a Gunnery Sergeant in the USMC). My Dad would have enjoyed playing this.
Pokémon Go Boston Safari make up weekend went pretty well. I got exactly what I wanted AND today my wife and I started driving to Boston but found out the spins were working anywhere, so we didn’t even go all the way in.
They chose a terrible background for Boston, though.
Some of the missions in Modern Warfare 4 are so horribly set up and annoying. I love the story but there is a mission where you can switch between three people and the helicopter IMMEDIATELY switches to aiming at whoever you are. It's moronic. Don't even need to shoot at it.

Today was Day 1 of the make up for the Boston Pokémon Go Safari day and I wanted a really good or shiny Hawlucha or Mudbray and… SCORE!
Every time this pops up in my feed I SWEAR it’s my old GameStop I went to that closed. Exact same stores, exact same color scheme, exact same flower beds. Milbury, MA.
Anyway, midnight releases were so much fun. Digital vacations to New Zealand are better.
