Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti:
"Russell Westbrook is the ultimate competitor.
His internal belief and unbridled fearlessness helped establish the foundation of our organization from day one in 2008 and he elevated the confidence and inspired our community in every year thereafter.
Russell will be as successful in his life after basketball as he was during his career because his qualities and gifts transfer. His impact on our community is still felt today, and he is beloved for his devotion as much as his talent.
He built a Hall of Fame career not by making statements or simply by breaking records, he did it by showing us all the power of asking one simple question: Why Not?”

This was literally one of his last games in the league. There’s no way this guy should be retiring when he still has so much more left to give to a team. Are you kidding me.

Sometimes you don’t even know when you’ve already watched the end.
You had to be there. And now it’s over.

Here’s what I do not understand about Russ. He’s been extremely productive over the past 3 seasons. We saw him play really well for both the clippers and the nuggets in the playoffs. He’s willing to play on a minimum. His teammates say he’s the best teammate. He’s willing to mentor the young talent on rosters. Absolutely no reason he should have to wait until October to sign again, unless he chooses to wait.
NBA is the only league where a week after the season ends , it’s the draft and free agency
Atlanta Hawks guard CJ McCollum has agreed to a one-year, $21 million contract extension with the franchise, plus a trade kicker, agent Sam Goldfeder of Excel Sports Management tells ESPN. McCollum has been eligible for an extension until June 30 and commits to a new deal that keeps him out of free agency.

"I kind of wish the ticket prices weren't as crazy as they are. I feel like a lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren't able to get into the building. The cheapest ticket $7K, $8,000. That's ridiculous"
No matter the price tag , people will pay any amount to see the Knicks
🚨 MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IS SHATTERING TICKET PRICE RECORDS.
Cheapest ticket for Game 3: $11,461
Cheapest ticket for Game 4: $13,065
It now costs over $24,500 for one person to attend both Finals games in New York.
The Knicks haven’t hosted the NBA Finals in over 25 years. 🤯
