We're looking to accelerate the people, and the data at the heart of public health decision making. This is a great opportunity to make a difference on something that makes a difference.

"Frameworks are a tool; not a way of life" Great quote from Clean Architecture amazon.ca/Clean-Architecture… Reminds me of a line I heard from @dexterchief once, 'fall in love with the problem, not the tool/tech' (or some such paraphrasing)

Stop Starting and Start Finishing! The fewer cars you have on the road, the faster they can travel. Reducing work in progress, reduces time to learning & value. This de-risks delivery, enables pivoting, and maximizes value #BVSSH
I fell in love with serverless when I found that, thanks to autoscaling and a pay as you go model, it was perfect for both small & large organizations After listening to a podcast I learned another benefit -- more environmentally friendly open.spotify.com/episode/0YQ… ❤️ serverless

The quality of a system, digital or otherwise, should not only be measured by its ability to function under 'normal' circumstances, but rather how well it responds to suboptimal circumstances or unexpected situations, such as sudden surges in usage.

After receiving a few messages I thought I should let it be known, I am not moving to the UK. I did, however, think that 'across the pond' could be used figuratively to say 'from the other side', as in from the private sector (rather than public). Apparently not ... TIL
