I once had a dream I was a judge of a cocktail contest, where every drink was based on a dog. The only one I remembered was The Regal Beagle, 1/3 each Amaretto, Pineapple juice, and apple cider.
Added a new lamp to the living room. From the safety of the bright lights I look to the corners of the room and find their unreliable tenants The Shadows, who waste no time in telling me things I want to hear. But it is night time, and I cannot find my way without the light.
Earlier this year I made a conscious effort to start doing this, but now I just feel like people are tired of hearing “thank you” as my response, like it comes off generic or inauthentic.
