What a days cricket lies ahead. England favs and I think that’s important to remember regardless of what happens today. Under normal circumstances this match would have ended up as a draw. Bazball is accelerating match outcomes like you can’t believe. That England find themselves in this position despite reckless dismissals, dropped catches, missed stumpings, an injured spinner is testament to what they are trying to do. Only one dismissal has irritated so far and that was Root yday. He had done all the hard work. The field was back. Singles galore. They had Australia where they wanted them. If England can be a tiny bit smarter once they have teams on the ropes they are going to be very tough to beat. Irrespective of what happens today Stokes and McCullum have dished up another great finish. Given England every chance of a win against the World Champions. Everyone will be so critical if they lose. Talk about the declaration or Bairstows keeping. That would be missing the point. They are like nothing we have seen before and boy is it fun to watch. Appreciate the desire to actually entertain fans and win.
