Budanovโs point is that Putin is trapped by the war he created. He cannot achieve the victory he promised, but ending the war would expose the failure behind Russiaโs imperial myth.
That is why Moscow keeps fighting. Not because it has a real path to victory, but because admitting defeat would mean admitting that Ukraine broke the image of Russian power Putin built his regime around.

Yes, the very same Mike Johnson who, for six months, at the behest of his boss, who wasnโt even president at the time, disgracefully refused to bring the Ukraine aid bill to a vote, even though the U.S. Congress was perfectly ready to pass it.
I hope the fallen Ukrainian soldiers and the ruins of Avdiivka will haunt your dreams.

Three Russian shadow fleet tanker loaded with Russian diesel have altered course and won't be shipping to the US coast.
The "Agioi Fenandes" (IMO: 9798375) and "Talisman" (IMO: 9292060) switched their destination to "For Orders", meaning that they are actively looking for buyers. The "Leruo" (MO: 9385831) has set course for Brazil, while also looking for buyers. Source is "Marinetraffic".
It looks like that the Trump-Putin scheme has fallen apart the moment the midterms were lost for Trump. What a surprise..
