This is so freaking stupid. Apparently the education they received sucked. If you force D3 schools to give scholarships they'll just drop sports altogether, especially the more expensive sports.
If you are a D3 player, which I was, you aren't good enough to be at a scholarship school, get over it. All these idiots are going to do is take away opportunities for others.

Dr. Leonard Moore explains on the Two Sports Dads podcast what Marcus Freeman pitched to his son Leonard Moore during his recruitment.
“Leonard we want you here, but I want you to understand what you’re signing up for. It’s cold, there ain’t nothing to do up here, there ain’t a bunch of nightlife, and there ain’t no online classes. The classes are hard but if you can come here and do this there is nothing in life you won’t be able to do.”
He goes on to say he appreciated that guaranteed playing time was never mentioned and that he was told he would be able to compete for playing time like everybody else.

Notre Dame at BYU drew an audience of 9.2 million viewers with a peak audience of 13.2 million.
It was the most-watched Big 12 game (excluding the conference championship game) since 2022 and second-best this decade.

We’re getting more evidence of shady activities happening from the clock operators/officiating crew in Provo by the hour.
It’s the final 30 seconds of the game. Your finger better be firmly pressed on the button to stop the clock when someone goes out of bounds. Every second counts.
Goodness gracious this is insane.

Text from a veteran administrator to ESPN this morning, explaining a day of historic upsets: "Two weeks ago Texas, Bama and Georgia were the three best teams in SEC, the conventional wisdom would have suspected that the only losses they might take is when they played one another. Since then they are a combined 1-5, and their only win in that group came because two of them played each other."

FOX rules analyst Mike Pereira told The Athletic that the ending of the BYU-Notre Dame game was “embarrassing for all officiating” and that Notre Dame should “get one more play.”
The Irish were at the center of two officiating controversies Saturday night: a potential missed defensive pass interference call and questions over whether one second should have remained on the clock after the final play.

Changes moving forward on offense:
- Walton should never have the fewest carries in a game…EVER.
- Expand the WR rotation to at least 6
- Premer needs to play, we desperately need a real passing threat at TE
- Enough with the painfully conservative game plans

Baffled by the state of Notre Dame’s receiver room. This wasn’t supposed to be an elite group, but it felt deeper than past seasons.
Instead, Notre Dame asks Jordan Faison (79 snaps), Jaden Greathouse (79) and Micah Gilbert (77) to run a marathon at altitude. Zero rotation.

If this kills @Marcus_Freeman1 … and no doubt it does … then @NDFootball needs to address the situation. It hired an out-of-work failed ex-head coach as defensive coordinator. @CoachRoderick worked Ash silly @usatodaysports: usatoday.com/story/sports/nc…

Forget the clock. Forget the call.
Notre Dame shouldn’t let it come down to those. Instead, the Irish cracked under pressure and Marcus Freeman needs to walk his own talk.
Challenge everything.
Because the Irish failed that charge on all levels at BYU

Yes. If Sam Leavitt transfers to LSU for $6M, LSU should have to cut Arizona St a $2M check too
Double the fee when players go from G6 to P4, and G6 should be exempt from paying a fees if a player drops down from P4
Truly elite players will still move, but the school they’re leaving won’t be as crushed. Guys like Jayce Brown will stay at Kansas St
NEW: Duke head coach Manny Diaz tells @AndyAriOn3 that schools should receive a "transfer fee" when players portal:
"If you sign a bunch of great recruits and you develop them and they go somewhere else, I'll go back to European soccer. You should receive a transfer fee."

Man if y'all upset about Coach DeBoer's rage and reaction, you didn't play ball in the 90s.
We got ear-holed, Skoal-spat, manhood-interrogated and Oklahoma-drilled on an barren patch of 60-grit sandpaper soil as hard as asphalt.
We're better men for every bit of it.
Go Spartans.

I don’t know what’s funnier, Lane Kiffin taking the LSU job so he could make the College Football Playoff, or LSU spending $150+ million on Kiffin and the roster to go like 8-4

Cougar fans, it’s been awhile 💭
We’re headed to Provo for the first time since 2009 for Notre Dame-BYU‼️
When you can show us the coaches and ADs that stay in smaller markets rather than leaving for a better opportunity, maybe people will empathize. It’s just “business” for coaches and administrators, yet loyalty is questioned with players, and “it’s all about the money.” Please.
"It's All About Money" as UCLA HC @CoachMickCronin speaks the TRUTH about Recruiting and Retainment in this clip from yesterdays @bigten Men's Basketball Media Day. Coach always keeps it real and we HEAR he flips a mean burger too!
