this is my bi-annual reminder to congressional campaigns: If you don't put your press email on your website and I'm not on your distribution list, the request for comment is going to your info@ email. So either check that inbox or put your press email on the website.

Hello! I'd like to write a story about how fans are supporting Jalen Hurts in his recovery.
If you or someone you know has sent a card/letter/gift to him, and would be willing to share why, I'd love to talk!
I can be reached at [email protected] or in DMs. Thanks as always☺️
More University of Maryland students told they can’t do their job as reporters. It’s a public sidewalk on a public university. Embarrassing for the athletics department.
For @testudotimes, @JudeWilkenfeld and I were outside Jones-Hill House trying to get players to comment. An athletics staffer took pictures of us, and a police dispatch was called for suspicious activity; a cop and 2 cop cars pulled up, and officers ID’d us and asked us to leave.
People haven’t talked about the Sixers like this in my lifetime. The praise. The LeBron effect.
“The 76ers have a chance to do something special this year.”
@WindhorstESPN gives praise to LeBron and the 76ers after starting their season with a win 🏀
Best breakdown of this whole situation I’ve seen.
From the @ringernflshow on Jalen Hurts, the Eagles, sleep, the timeline and why everyone is on the same page.

.@md_sbe was a targeted agency for a suspicious envelope. It was intercepted prior to delivery. TY to law enforcement for their diligence and efforts. This madness needs to stop.
This isn't a secret recording of the congressman, it's a clear press gaggle after an event. Journalists shouldn't be singled out and told they can't record when everyone around them is.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has a realistic chance to return for Sunday’s game at Cleveland, per league source.
The opponent selection is amazing drama for baseball. The top seed could lose to a team THEY CHOSE. Or the top seed could end up ducking a division rival in the early round.
MLB has proposed returning to a 154-game Regular Season, best-of-seven Division Series, and opponent selection in the Wild Card and Division Series
Starting in 2029, shortening the season to a 154-game schedule would create a standard weekly off day benefiting player health, and it would allow the addition of up to 8 more Postseason games by moving to a best-of-seven Division Series format
Beginning in 2027, higher-seeded clubs in the Wild Card and Division Series would select their opponents
Lane Johnson was the best Eagle for a decade. He’ll be missed but so thankful for the great moments and memories he helped deliver for the birds.

This stat is a better argument for expanding the WC series to 5 games and going to a 2-2-1 format instead of shrinking the series back to 1. We like upsets and 5-game series provide more of them.
In this wildcard format the team that wins game 1 has won their series 18 out of 19 times. Regardless of who wins Phillies @ Braves we have enough sample size for MLB/MLBPA to bargain to reduce WC back to one game series instead of 2 out of 3 while also bringing back game 163 as tie breakers. Just my opinion.

The president said it plainly in the Oval Office, describing his own planned action as a “ban on the free press.”
The Constitution protects the freedom of the press from government interference. That protection does not depend on whether the president likes a news organization’s coverage, agrees with its reporting, or approves of the questions its journalists ask.
This is about more than the rights of journalists. It is about the right of the American people to receive a full and independent account of the activities, policies and decisions of whoever occupies the nation’s highest office.
