🤩🥲🤯News: My first book, to be titled "The Slime Mold's Guide to World Domination", has been acquired by @DuttonBooks. It will be a funny natural history of slime molds that’s also a mystery — how can a single cell possibly be intelligent? — with a plot twist ending.

The Spinyhead Blenny (Acanthemblemaria spinosa) is very common in the shallows here in Guadeloupe. Male and female look very different from each other, and yesterday I spent a long time trying to get both in the same photo. Here is the result! Male is darker. #ichthyology
It is crazy how plants do this. I have seen it also in lancewoods in New Zealand and koa trees in Hawai'i.
