For some reason, I couldn't back and see this image yesterday. Definitely a very WTF Sex Scene.

I am really enjoying this episode - although admittedly I am going to have to listen to listen one a couple of times because there is lots to unpack and think about!
Excerpt from today’s episode with @prof_romance - is the “love story” problematic as a site for exploring women’s identity?

I'm not here much at all any longer and I hate the x thing. I have no plans to deactivate my account but I plan to hang out at bluesky.
It all makes me so sad.
Today I realized that I missed several books released over the past several weeks: by Toni Anderson, Kelley Armstrong, L. Dubois and others. I got most of my books recs here . . . . and I need to figure out how to make up for that.
One of my all time favorites. Scorching is right!
angst-for-days forbidden romance between a widow and her deceased husband's brother. While novella length, the character development, pacing, and scorching heat are off-the-charts good, like holy wow good

I LOVED Jackie Lau's Four Weddings to Fall in Love. The premise of a bad one night stand turning into love over the course of 4 weddings is delightful. Sweet and very sexy story with an unabashedly sexual FMC and a grumpy and starchy MMC.
Ooh. I have read a book out today: Shannon Stacey's Her Younger Man, part of the author's Sutton's Place series (which I adore). In this one, Lane's mom Laura (who is 48 I think) gets a HEA with 39 year old Riley. Excellent romance - and I am so happy for Laura!
I am SO excited to read Jackie Lau's Four Weddings to Fall in Love (out today). I feel like I haven't read a JL book in FOREVER!
I had the good fortune of reading Nalini Singh's Resonance Surge (out today) early. As always, a delight. The bear shifters are just such fun, cuddly and loving characters. There is of course lots of darkness in this one.
I love that Singh still has me hooked on this series.
Related to my recent posts, I am looking for romantic suspense books. And the last couple that I have read haven't really worked well for me in that space.
I had a really odd reading experience yesterday where I was pulled out of the book by something structural - which is odd for me. I do notice tense and that can disrupt my reading. But rarely do I think about other things.
Next chapter, she is at work. I was so confused bc it really felt like the book was missing 2 critical scenes with the MCs.
I thought maybe this is a closed door book (altho author uses explicit language). But no. The MCs continue having sex off page until 48% when it is on page
