My album, For You, For Always, is now out in the world. It’s been a long time coming! Some things take the time they take. ✨Listen: ffm.to/foryouforalways ✨Watch: youtube.com/playlist?list=PL… For You, For Always spans a decade of songwriting and recording during the years my wife and I began raising a family in NYC. It took that long for these songs to come together without compromise in either the music or our lives. This album is a love letter to family and to listeners alike, and it completes a duology with my 2017 LP, Do We Reach Home. That record explored searching, striving, and navigating through a chaotic world, while For You, For Always is about anchoring into the present moment, letting go of the chase, and arriving home. It's a companion album sequenced intentionally after releasing the songs individually over the years, and it truly encapsulates the record I’ve long wanted to make along with the ethos I've tried to live by. Keeping things organic, I’ve used zero AI in any of the songs, videos, or images across my entire body of work. It may be harder for artists to do that going forward as AI becomes embedded everywhere. Deepest thanks to my wife Carolyn for building a life with me and to my children Ava and Adam for the endless inspiration. Grateful to every artist who collaborated with me on this record. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has listened to my music and watched my videos over the years. This is for you, for always. x

This song, In My Heart, was inspired by my daughter Ava. She becomes a teenager next month! At my wife's suggestion, I recently sang it at her own father's 80th birthday gathering. At some point, every daughter was their dad’s baby girl. #fatherdaughter

Started standup paddleboarding this year - love it! Hard to think of anything better to engage the whole body and stay balanced. Being on the water like this refreshes the whole system… eager for next season!

How we met. Sharing so someday my kids can look back and revisit the story.

We recently rescued John the cat after his owners went into assisted living. John was named after John Lennon, and had three siblings (Paul, Yoko, Linda). John’s been teaching me to be more present, something I’m sure animal lovers experience frequently. It’s truly profound.

Ah, fun NYC moment! Came to get a slice of pizza with my son, and ended up singing O Sole Mio with the owner, Marcello from Italy. Patrons did NOT expect him and a Taiwanese-American guy to burst out in traditional Neopolitan song! #compariitalianstreetkitchen

Landed on the cover of Pandora's AMP Fresh Cuts music playlist! In an age of algorithms and AI, I really appreciate that the curation was by a human 🙏 @pandoramusic

My latest song, A Home Here, marks the first time I’ve featured a flugelhorn. Love the rich and mellow sound, played wonderfully by Sophie Manoloff. Making a song with only a few elements (vocals, piano, and flugelhorn) felt nourishing amidst a landscape of limitless tracks and AI music. Slow art with real musicians is more vital than ever! ✨Watch: youtu.be/_3vZKNNq75o ✨Spotify/Apple/more: ffm.to/ahomehere

My daughter picked one of my songs to accentuate her homework slideshow project for her middle school. Definitely my favorite music sync placement ❤️

My new song, A Home Here, was inspired by what’s most important to me - family life. I’ll take meals together, bedtime stories, and watching children grow over anything else. Love the flugelhorn solo at the end of this clip, played marvelously by Sophie Manoloff. ✨Full vid: youtu.be/_3vZKNNq75o ✨Spotify/Apple/more: ffm.to/ahomehere

Happy to release a new song, A Home Here, today! It’s a heartfelt ode to putting down roots and building a life with intention. Letting go of external validation and finding nourishment from the core. No AI, just organic piano, vocals, and flugelhorn. Full vid: youtu.be/_3vZKNNq75o Audio: ffm.to/ahomehere

Hymne à l'amour (Hymn to Love). This deeply moving song by French singer Édith Piaf was released in 1950. She wrote wrote a poem dedicated to her lover, boxer Marcel Cerdan, who had died in a plane crash. Longtime collaborator Marguerite Monnot then set it to music. At the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, the song was performed by Céline Dion for her live performance comeback after battling with health complications for years. My father requested I play this timeless song. #piano #edithpiaf

Caught up with one of my favorite singer-songwriters, @dawenmusic, in the best way I know how. A run through Central Park, followed by some impromptu, unplanned singing around my piano. My wife caught this moment while we were jamming for the first time. Excited for your upcoming music Dawen, and looking forward to a return visit to Taiwan!
