This is awesome! Those who have been around the Algorand space for awhile already know how brilliant @HMD2V is, but a lot of the new fam may not. Follow him now AlgoFam!
Hello Algofam! I'm happy to finally present leakswap.com and zebgen.com for public beta testing (using TestNet/StageNet). LeakSwap is my #Algorand - #Monero cross-chain swaps protocol. Thanks to Algorand's ~2.7s block time and instant finality I believe it to be the fastest non-custodial swap protocol out there. (For now it's only ALGO<->XMR but I have plans for other pairs as well!) I recorded a video presentation I'm attaching here. I apologize for the background noise and subpar audio but I've been stuck away from home. Importantly: the full demo is at 19:00 - 30:00. I simulate a full swap between 2 parties ("Ali" and "Xin"), which is also what I'd like the community to try out. Please watch the demo, follow along, DIY and make sure to send me any and pieces of feedback that you have! I have links to my telegram group and discord on Leakswap.com. Thanks to @Urthoo for hosting nodes, the sXMR faucet and explorer. And to @kayabaNerve for helping me years ago figure out how to abuse Algorand's ed25519_verify opcode to leak the private spend key share. (Which inspired the name.) Certainly, someone as intelligent and "in the know" as Mr. Wonderful @kevinolearytv knows about @Algorand, its post-quantum capabilities, throughput capabilities, decentralization... I could go on. But he knows about algorand:native, right? Right?
This @binance hack is going to bring back the whole Quantum security issue on bitcoin:native and all #Crypto No way to candy coat it. It’s a setback!

hearing polymarket hack victims with bigger losses are being asked to do KYC and sign a release, including agreeing not to criticize them publicly, to get their money back. incidents like this are hard, and we're sure they have their reasons. but asking victims for silence is a rough look. hope everyone gets made whole soon. genuinely curious about alpha arcade? DM us and we'll send you $10 to trade with.

Seeing X posts about the @binance hack, you can really tell who is newer to crypto compared to those who are so beaten down that they just can’t feel a thing. I’m in the latter. 🤣

If only @Algorand employed the epitome of world class cryptographers… and have been working on the solution for years… and have post-quantum security baked into the protocol… if only. algorand:native
Worried about quantum? If only there was an industry with a concentration of world class cryptographers…

Might as well be considered a tour at this point. Putting Algorand back on the map!
I’ll be speaking at The Bridge by @TheTieIO today in NYC. On a panel with Jay Pollack from VerifiedX, Joshua Lim (@joshua_j_lim) from Falcon X, and James Evans (@jimbo_evans) from Reciprocal Ventures. Moderated by @seanlippel.

Interested as to whether or not @chamath has heard of Algorand and the post-quantum capabilities provided by the Falcon signature scheme. @FinTechWilliam perhaps a conversation is in order? (if the link does not work, go to 1:48:44) youtu.be/kAwG9E1W_ME?si=c5KZ…

You can’t build the future of finance on cryptography quantum computers could break. As tokenization scales, post-quantum security needs to be a core infrastructure decision. My latest: algorand.co/blog/you-cant-bu…

AlgoFam… the CEO got @paulbarrontv to acknowledge Algorand! I never thought that would be possible.
In my latest interview with @paulbarrontv, we discuss AI-driven hacks, the quantum threat to finance, and Algorand's plans for post-quantum security. Watch here: youtube.com/watch?v=qEv5eFf3… Thanks for having me, @paulbarron

He’s here, AlgoFam. Let that part of the FUD be squashed. Now let’s watch how he transforms algorand:native
I’ll be live on @therollupco podcast tomorrow at 2:30 PM ET to talk about quantum and what the October 22 OMB deadline means for banks and markets. Tune in here: youtube.com/@TheRollupCo/str…

I think @seawillpdx is on to something here. Or, at least that is what I want to believe. Seems too coincidental, and everyone departing has had great things to say about Algorand and their desires to remain in the community.

Head of socials feels good, and apparently Herkelrath will be on X in the near future. algorand:native
Very bullish on Algorand tbh New CEO has been grinding bts and getting things in order, and he’ll be on X soon with actual updates Lots of changes, more to come, but everything people asked for seems to be in motion

I would certainly hope there is an aggressive campaign in the works. If not… what is even going on behind the scenes? Can’t solely rely on community to spread the word!
Exactly. Algorand owns the quantum game in crypto. Needs to be a technical tour de force out there publicly slamming that message home IMO. Algorand is the Daddy of PQC, own the narrative.

Is there such thing as an interim for the interim? Good luck to @bmartins_ , but now what?
After nearly 4 years, I've decided to resign and move on from my role at the Algorand foundation. I'm super grateful for the experience and look forward to my next chapter. I'll remain part of the community and will be cheering for the success of the Algorand network.

This is exactly right. It’s “gas” after all.
IMO, people need to start to think of ALGO as a commodity rather than stock. Good way to think of $ALGO is looking at it as oil. The majority of us think about the oil usage only when we are the pump, yet oil is used to produce so many other things. DeFi and RWA projects are/will use $ALGO for tx fees, but most of us are not thinking about even greater usage of $ALGO = creation/maintenance of wallets, NFTs, ASAs, NFDs and SCc. And just like oil, there is a finate supply of ALGO. So my theory (NFA) and why I'm hording $ALGO is due to the fact that I'm seeing it as an 'lubricant' of the future. So, with that, what is the total market cap of most commonly used coomodity oil?

Pretty cool that if you run a node on Algorand, as it stands with the current token price, each winning block proposal nets you over $1 USD in algorand:native. That can really add up over time, and so easy to just set it and forget it!

My view on the delay of project “King Safety” is one of optimism. The board certainly knew that Staci was not going to be the CEO in 2026, and it would not make any sense whatsoever to bind a new CEO to a roadmap that he had no part in creating. I believe William will make solid decisions as to the direction of algorand:native after he has time to review the state of the union.
