cooked up this basketball shootout mini game, using the @rive_app CLI.
took a couple hours to get the entire structure working the way i wanted, but now that it’s all there i can lock into just the creative decision. nice.
took this photo of my toy story candle, thought this would make for an fun excuse to jump back into cinema4d and make a similar composition.
excited to see basketball gamecast finally live. got the whole team on board with @rive_app and overhauled how games look across app and web.
binding live game data directly into the animation system let us create visuals that react fluidly to what is happening on court. 🤘🏻
just a little play at getting simple obj’s into @rive_app. really sparking some ideas around more retro hud type elements.
scripting 🤝 data binding.
perfect for a confetti generator that swaps the configuration depending on the screen that it’s on.
coming in at 12kb

been cooking on a way to get some physic based motion into @rive_app.
this file is currently 803kb. I’ll never not be impressed with the file sizes you can achieve with this much animation.
been obsessed with using cinema4d renders in @rive_app lately.
i can make them interactive or deliver with alpha so elements elements can break the frame. all for just a couple mbs.
it’s really been a game changer.

made this interactive nba championship poll for the espn app. built using @rive_app and plenty of data binding inputs to keep this very dynamic.
saw an interesting ball roll toggle made in figma by @Designownow_ and decided to give it a shot in @rive_app.
pretty hyped how easy it was to make look good.

finally had an excuse to use @rive_app for a user-facing design.
the goal was to get users interacting with the new icon before entering the app and educating them on the expected flow in a simple way.
this design is live for a week for anyone who favored an MLB team in-app.
I don’t know what @BilmuriTweets put in this but I’ve listened to this entire show at least once a day for almost 2 months now. 😅
