Fr. Inoque Posse SJ led #IDPs in #CaboDelgado, #Mozambique, in a therapeutic moment of music & dance. Healing through entertainment: One song & One dance at a time. A beautiful way of helping survivors of conflict overcome trauma, rediscover joy & restore hope.

Behind every return is a human story.
Since late May, more than 115,000 Zimbabweans have returned from South Africa amid heightened anti-immigrant tensions and pressure.
At Silveira House, our humanitarian response has focused on more than immediate assistance — it’s about dignity, psychosocial support and helping people rebuild.
Humanity is not a moment. It is a commitment to keep showing up.

Returning home is only the beginning.
Today, Silveira House began a two-day needs assessment with Zimbabwean returnees from South Africa, listening to their priorities as they rebuild their lives and livelihoods.
Skills development, certification and counselling emerged among the needs shared.
The consultations continue tomorrow, helping us better understand what sustainable reintegration requires beyond the immediate return.

On #WorldRefugeeDay we commemorate and celebrate the resilience of the over 117 million forcibly displaced people. Before they become #refugees, they are human beings with intrinsic human dignity. Let’s work for a world where refugees are welcome.

Forced displacement is NOT because of refugees.
Forced displacement is a consequence of the failure to uphold peace and security.
It’s on all of us to change the #GlobalTrends of conflicts.
