Can, Swim Ignorant Fire and Maya Ongaku on the headphones this rainy morning. @Islandhouserecs can do no wrong. If Tim was a sports franchise, we’d be talking dynasty shit with this winning streak he’s on. #SaturdayVibes

In 87 or 88, I told a buddy I needed to know jazz so he made me a tape with Miles Smiles on side A and ESP on side B. Greatest gift ever. #Jazz

#NowPlaying The Drin. Elude the Torch. Love this new record. Sprawling, psychedelic post-punk masterpiece follows up the excellent Today My Friend You Drunk the Venom. Dylan McCartney deserves much wider recognition. daily.bandcamp.com/album-of-…

10 days or so ago, I knew absolutely nada about @starflyer59. Now, thanks to @jasonpwoodbury and @aquadrunkard, I'm absolutely obsessed with the work of Jason Martin. Lust for Gold is a glorious record and there's a lot more to deep dive.

Born on this day, the very great, singular genius, @Wayne_Shorter Shorter. Words are an inadequate means of expressing the depth of his humanity - you can hear it all in his music. Barche Lamsel

#NowPlaying Fleetwood Mac Bare Trees (1973, Reprise). Bare Trees is also an excellent record. It turned out to be Danny Kirwan's last record with the band.

LOL. At office drafting documents listening to Wake of the Flood 50th Deluxe with door open. Just as Donna wails away on live Playing in the Band , Pt. 2, one of our young associates walking by stopped dead in her tracks looking at me wide-eyed.
